ive been fortunate over the years to have been with quite a few women who
would fit the description of "bbw" or "curvy" or plus size" or "thick"
if i am attracted to a woman, and theres a spark,..or chemistry,..i dont really give a damn about her dress size
...far more important is a brain, a good self-image and personality...the body is a function of those things.
a "curvaceous" woman, if shes got her act together and is happy in her own skin can be the most exciting thing on two legs...

Well, men like you who like women like us, should have spoken up years ago when big girls were made fun of in sitcoms and Hollywood. I know I bought into a bill of goods since younger that men wouldn't love my size! I was constantly reminded that thin was where it was at. What a breath of fresh air when men started telling me they love me including my personality. I feel in so many ways you guys have to constantly fight the damage that was done too. Does that make sense? ( I'm on my phone, can't type clearly my thoughts one finger, sorry)

alot has to do with age also..the appreciation of a "woman"includes so many

I often wonder how some larger women in real time seem to have escaped the Hollywood image. But the majority succumbed to it. Course I had a petite mother who had an amazon viking wench that she started me on a diet when I didn't really need it yet. Oh well…
But, I have LOVED knowing you boys think for yourself!!!
I have to agree, back in the days of the yahoo forums connecting with a BBW was a challenging task. But i think as BBW women are realizing that they are just that, beautiful they are taking to the internet to connect with others.

Absolutely. Fifteen years ago it was difficult to find them, but 10 years ago websites seemed to spring forth with big gals. I could NOT believe my eyes then that men really did LOVE big girls. I still have to be pinched in order to believe it but I have difficulty believing it. It's amazing our upbringings in this world and how thought processes stay with us even when faced with another truth. Or perhaps "THEE" truth when the falsehood was taught us and we bought into a bill of goods.
There is nothing better then a big beautiful confident woman, I just wonder what had to happen for everyone to open their eyes to that fact. So very mezmerizing is a woman with amazing curves and the confidence to strut her stuff.

Speaking up, speaking out…not be discriminated against
I do not know hon. I do not feel we're out of the woods yet; meaning that bbw are accepted without cruel comments etc.
It's funny that people jump all over Donald Trump for his comments (yes, he should phrase his opinion a bit better) BUT he should have his right to his opinion and should be able to express it. I heard today on the news that plus size gal hurt by a comment in Old Navy and she went back and purchased a 4th of July tank anyway. Her husband loved her in it. It had instantly 200,000 likes on Twitter or one maybe Facebook. It was more about hurting her feelings and people need to be aware that words hurt. But I'd like to think in time that more plus size women will speak up mainstream. I do in small ways, but I do not to the point I'd like because I do not want to draw attention to my secret life and any question that of that that could arise.
But I hope for more and more acceptance!

You know it wasn't until I started posting here that I realized how many men found my figure attractive. I was looking for a confidence boost, thinking I would get just a few responses and boy was I wrong in the best of ways! Now if only I could find those guys in my own area...

I wish confidence like yours was contagious. I can say I have it at times, and other times not so much. Guys online over the years…I owe tons to. I wish I could have had their help all those younger teen and into my 20's and 30's. I could have had so much fun!!! Thanks for your great replies here!
