Wonderful and you are so right in pointing this out. I'd much prefer a gentleman and a man sensitive about this, as you say. This came through in my email and it really caused me to stop and think about it. I find it so interesting how we each read, perceive, and surmise what the other said. How many times in a marriage do couples end up fighting and it comes out is "what you heard is NOT what I said." That is so true. I saw no male egotism in this, but comment that goes back to what are probably basic traits that we were created with. It's along the lines too of what a professor here once told me that men were created too to be drawn (i'm paraphrasing here, as I have horrible recall) to big, rubenesque women or women of size because we were created with hips and bodies to carry the child and that in and of it self if what men are naturally drawn to. I suck at remembering all this but he was assuring me of my size and that at one time we were the chosen perse. If you get what I'm saying?

A women might be capable of 'fending' for herself depending on what exactly that is. But I guarantee you, I use to think of women in the military and doing a man's job...call me sexist, but there is NO way no how a woman's strength will EVER beat a man's...I use to think because I was tall, big and mighty, that I could go up against a man ...even rape or something where I had to defend myself. No way... But fend for ourselves...possibly if that means find our own way, find food, shelter, etc. But there again I am not so sure that a woman can do what a man does; we just like to buy into the idea that we are equal when we really are not.
