I served in the military for some 20 years Chloe and my experience suggests that 99% of security stuffups can be explained by simple incompetence without the slightest need for input from conspiracy theories. The generic problem is that the people in charge of security never, ever, delegate to the people on the ground at the pointy end of every problem the authority needed to fix it - immediately.

Well CD, we agree 100% on this.

I will add that the lack of transparency under the guise of 'ongoing investigation' does nothing more than spur on 'conspiracy theories.'

I'm no conspiracy buff, but the dems have tried everything to get Trump, so why rule violence as a last resort?

But...
Unless the media says it happened, it doesn't happen.
That's the trouble when one side controls mist news and thus public discussion.
They can cover/ignore all manner of shenanigans.
It's true whether we're discussing Putin and Ukraine or the current U.S. election.
