Biden admin tightens gun show loophole

The Black Market is in . . . the Black Market. It isn't at gun shows. I've seen people I suspected of being potential straw purchasers and watched them circle a table looking for goodies, and then watched them balk when presented with the background check paperwork and then head for the exits. The Kool-Aid that was drunk in this case is that gun shows are large bazaars where anything goes and thugs roam the aisles. Did I mention the cops working the doors? Cops work the doors. The occasional fed roams the aisles.

"Gun Show Loophole" is a Clintonista false equivalency.
So why post about it?

I couldn't just copy and paste from the article, so I took a screenshot of what I think is the most important section of the article explaining the new rule. The part about 20,000 unlicensed gun dealers in the US.

Far and away the greatest 'underground' market is in stolen firearms. As an example a year ago the local DEA office, along with the FBI, ATF, and various state and local law enforcement, got wind of a big deal that was taking place locally. This was as a result of a drug investigation and what it was in a nutshell was a street gang out of Memphis TN. was trading cash and stolen firearms to local cartel reps for drugs, primarily Fentanyl. Over 70 firearms of various types were scooped up with the drugs and the criminals. ALL of the firearms turned out to be stolen. Virtually all of the drug busts yield firearms and the larger percentage of those firearms are stolen. Such is the nature of the criminal firearm market.

It should also be noticed and in almost every case of 'mass' shootings the firearm was purchased legally, even by those that should have been denied the purchase because of misreporting, not reported at all, or out and out lying on the 4473 ala Hunter Biden.

And as has been mentioned on this board ad nauseum, there should be some uniform prosecution and severe punishments handed out for the 4473 lies. But no, lets focus on bans which won't touch the cartel source.

What these knotheads think:

It would be awrsome if the Alphabet Mafia would stop supplying so many guns to criminals

If the ATF would stop participating in cartel schemes like Fast and Furious

Gun loons are funny.

They yell, “Your new regulation is dumb and doesn’t change anything!” And yet the new regulation agitates them so much that they post a blizzard of wacko comments.

Lunacy is so entertaining. 😄

Have you read the proposed reg? It virtually turns anyone that transfers a firearm into a felon unless they have a FFL. What they're telling the public is bull shit.

So we shouldn't be concerned over new legislation that makes no sense over what's currently on the books that works.............

Spoken like a true Chekist!

The majority of guns used in crimes make their way into the hands of criminals via private sellers at gun shows.

What doesn't make sense about that?

So don't "transfer" a firearm. Problem solved

bullshit, stop lying. you aren't very good at it

There is no 'gun show loophole' and there never was, you fools have been sold a bill of goods and you bought it, hook, line, and sinker. This latest edict from the wannabe dictator is going to go down in flames like the rest of his edicts.
If there is no background check, then it's a loophole.

It's called "Lies, Damned Lies and Lying with statistics"

From 2017 to 2021, 70% of crime guns traced by the ATF were obtained from a dealer, which is defined by law as anyone in the business of selling or repairing firearms. Dealers can be retail businesses or wholesale suppliers.

Given that by law all guns go from a manufacturer to a dealer for retail sale the correct statistic would be 100%

This study doesn't account for guns that are bought at a gun show that are later stolen (defacto, "used in a crime")

Gaslighting 101!

Kind of like the right making any woman who has an abortion or doctor who provides it into a felon?

Karma's a bitch, ain't it?

But wait a second. I thought all of you gun nuts on this thread were saying that Biden's order didn't change anything? 🤔
