Black male & black female submissives in BDSM ?

Wow. It's funny how this seems so mild to some and controversial to others.

Do they really? That's just such a shame. I thought we were a bit more adult here than that. We talking GB stylee, monosyllabic textspeak tirades where a sentence and a paragraph are the same thing? They should all be shot. Failing that, they should be locked away for the remainder of their days with a dictionary and 'grammar for beginners.'

I've had some of those type of pms about being a stupid slave and a deviant bitch who's destined to burn in hell. I love the way they think threats like that will have a painwhore like me quakin' in her corset.

I don't think that any of the regular posters in this area send the hate mail. It's the lurkers that are the issue. And it's more of an issue if you have a pic thread.

Yeah. If I had my way, lurkers wouldn't be allowed to send pms. There was a run of white supremacist alts a year or two back who dared to stray from the GB. Generally speaking, I stick to HT, SRPs and the BDSM forums. All the GB trollbaiting bollocks just passes me by completely.

Saves on the energy it takes to hit 'ignore' every 5 mins.

I'm really into this now. I've written a series of sexy interracial BDSM stories where men and women go to a special brothel/dungeon where black male and black female submissives entertain sexy patrons. I think it's a riot. I'd love to get some feedback. Someday.;)

On the subject of hate mail, I Haven't recieved any from anyone on Lit. However, I left the last forum my PYL and I were on mostly due to all the hate mail I received, especailly after posting picture threads. (I'm white, my PYL is black)

well, lucky you. besides, I think they know where u stand on these issues thanks to your avatar. I've never understood why some people oppose the rights of others to happiness...from anti-interracial relations laws of the old days to the prejudice of anti-gay marriage legislation. what people do in bed when they're all consenting adults shouldn't be the government's business.

I hate it when conservatives get a bad rap. The cause of conservatism has been corrupted. We're supposed to fight for liberty and embrace responsibility. Recently departed professor David Brudnoy was an openly gay conservative and a good friend. Not all conservatives are anti-gay or anti-sex.

Sir, I couldn't agree more. While I support same-sex marriage, I'm conservative on most other issues. I don't think teenagers should drive unsupervised until they're 18. I dont care if that upsets people. Also, I think women who do their makeup while driving should get ticketed. Same goes for guys who * touch* themselves while driving. I dont care for idiots, regardless of their race or gender. I dont think we need more guns on the streets. Why not give them to monkeys while we're at it ?

Truthfully there are or at least used to be (last time I checked would be 4-5 years ago) several munches, groups etc that were created for people of color and work towards better quality of porn etc. you need to look better.
we are out there, we just don't care to advertise :)

Sometimes, you must reveal at least part of your selves and show the world what you're made of.

Discretion is the better part of valour.

I personally do not see my kink as an essential part of what must be shown to the world and neither does my Sir, the part of myself that I show does not have to include anything that I'm not comfy with the general public knowing.

And to be clear we are active in a local group as family life allows, but if you asked my dh's friends there's no way they would tell you he's a sadistic mofo.

I know. Even when I was closeted, I still found discreet ways of letting the world know that bisexual black men who weren't ashamed of themselves existed.

Minorities do not have a "responsibility" to out themselves so others can find them. Not everyone is an extrovert, and not everyone wants to air their business. Lots of people are quite happy to live their own lives independently without coming out to everyone.

Thank you Etoile

Samuel you talked about Dark Connections, that to me is a perfect example of a couple that holds a bit back from the general public, I have never seen Scourge and coffee's faces online? You have to meet them to know what they look like and they own and run one of the better know yahoo groups and a website, I'm pretty sure that most people who know them in person don't know about their private lives.

My thinking is if I have to be discreet if I can't speak frankly and openly with someone, you probably don't need to know my business.

Anyway back on topic, I think most groups have black members, so you don't have to look for primarily black groups to find others.

Samuel there is a much group for people of color in Boston

So... as we're talking about race...

I'm probably going to get flamed for this but lifestyle groups who only accept a certain colour of member seem like a kind of reverse racism to me. What has race to do with BDSM per se?

Here in the UK there's a government funded support group for black and asian police officers but can you imagine the outcry there would be if white officers who have watched the token minority/female/gay colleague rise rapidly through the ranks demanded their own group? It's frowned upon to make a mainstream TV show without obligatory black, asian and gay characters but there are many black sitcoms and dramas where there is apparently no need for the inclusion of white, hispanic or asian people.

Not every racist is white, not by a very long way.

Doesn't take long for these things to spiral away from the integration and tolerance they seek to promote and I find it hard to see any form of racial segregation or exclusion as tolerant.

No flames here, Velvet. You're right, race doesn't affect how bdsm is done - unless it is a fetish in itself. But the reason there are groups for black bdsm-ers, etc is because people like to be with people who are like them. Culture is about shared experiences, and an Asian-American gay person has different experiences than a Hispanic gay person, and so on. They like to know that the people they're socializing with are similar to themselves. This comes up a lot on a board I'm on about gay cruisers. People want to know why gay people need their own cruises, can't they just vacation like everyone else? If they were guaranteed a ship full of gay friendly people, isn't that enough? But the gay cruise industry persists because people like to be with their "tribe" - people who are like them. Sure, we COULD go on a mainstream cruise, but gay cruises are a lot of fun! It's the same for bdsm groups, I would imagine - people want to hang out with people who are like themselves who share their interests.

As for why there are no white affiliation groups, it's because whites are historically in the majority. I mean, is there really a "white culture" group? It's just "normal" culture, right? White is the standard and everybody else is "different" - most white people don't even feel a need for a "whites only" group. Even if we're no longer a numerical majority, we're still the majority culturally. I'm not sure that white people have special interests that would prompt them to form a group, you know?

I understand what you're saying but it's left us as the majority group without a specific culture. Town Halls and government buildings are refusing to display xmas decorations, national flags and other symbols and it's filtering downwards. It's probably not an issue in the US so much where people still display national symbols and so on but my home town for example cancelled a carol singing event because it might offend minorities and then made huge big deals of non-christian events like the Chinese New Year. It's all gone a bit too far where I am.

I'm straying WAY off topic here though so I'll shut up at this point. I do agree with everything you've said and a black BDSM group shouldn't really be any more un-pc than the TNG groups for younger kinksters. There always seems to be an undercurrent with these things though and the scope for nurturing prejudice is always there.

I think it's the same mandate as TNG. If you are tired of being hit on by people with a race fetish as their prime interest in you, same as if you are tired of being hit on by people older than your parents because you're fresh meat. A bottom I played with a little in the local scene, a black transman was all "I've never played with another black person" at a party and those of us who'd been to DC to play were all "oh no, we've got to take you east!" People should be able to, if they desire, have the opportunity to share kink with people who look like them, can relate to their background and subtle cultural stuff - it's just a nice thing to have on the table for you. And it's harder to get that in the large mixed organizations. I don't think I've ever done any F/f play that I'd quality as "hot" in a pansexual setting.

Personally I belong to a group that's 99% white, it's a great group, but there are tops that I know were hoping that there was a possibility of sharing because they've never gotten to "pick whatever" a black sub, and ohhh they just wanted the chance, same way I've seen subs spend 15 mins staring at my Sir's crotch and he who I've nicknamed Caption Oblivious noticed that she was looking, and that takes A LOT, lol, or have a sub slide up to him after a scene and go "you could beat me harder than you beat her" because they want to try a black top.

So I totally get why others may want to find a group that they don't stick out like a whore at a Stepford wives's convention, sometimes it's nice not to be the biggest fetish in the room :D

Also and I know you won't agree but I did a racism workshop where it was taught racism needs the power component, in a country where blacks are the majority, and hold power and money, the blacks can be racist; in a country where whites are the majority, hold the power and money, blacks are prejudice.

I won't talk about the majority not having a culture, because to me everyday is white culture in the US because it's the societal norm, people expect you celebrate Christmas, do Santa (and lord help you if as a parent you don't do Santa) and all the other stuff that goes along with major holidays, etc etc tralalala

Also I wanted to add I know for sure the nearest black munch group to me and the one I linked to welcome EVERYONE! So while these groups are really to get people of color out and transition them to mainstream kink activities, they aren't turning away whites or anyone else at the door.

Minorities are growing, its not integrations, its knowing that not everyone wants to see your customs taking over everything.

Imagine if 5% of people where Christian, and when you went to the super market you see buddha siting on everything, and mormons constantly come to your house, and the capital had a huge crescent moon slapped on it.

Customs, religion, its a personal thing. If you want your christmas market and carolers set up an event, close of some streets. You can't just make yourself wide and expect others to make a detour, you got to let them know first, see if they will accommodate.

... and you don't want to get me started on nationalism.

I have read your posts and understood where you're coming from. I'm an extrovert by nature, and most of my friends know me as a bisexual black man. And a writer of bisexual-themed, erotically charged black fiction. I do so not because I love to show off but to show the world a different face on a not-so-new idea. That's why openly gay mayors, female senators, black politicians and others along those lines are emphasized. we're not better. just different.
