Well, it was not so much as rejection as she refused to have sex with me since I was with someone else. We talked and were good friends but as long as I was involved that was as far as she would allow it to go. The same night my girlfriend left me she jumped my bones.

Glad to know I'm not the only one - I think it's just, Ive been shot down so many times (edit: IRL; I don't do the online thing), my "reality meter" doesn't allow for the possibility that a woman might be interested any more, so I don't catch it when it happens.

Okay. I was going to suggest you PM me but I'll just tell it here and now...

All of my AVs are me. They are pictures of my hands or my feet or the top of my head in a fancy hat or whatever. But none of them are what you GUYS would call sexy. So, I have these really sexy pictures of myself (well, okay I think they are sexy) and I had several of them made into AVs. I put them up over the course of a couple of weeks. Had lots of attention on the boards, mostly from women, telling me how marvelous they were. Not one.... count 'em... not one PM and very few comments on the boards from men. Nada.

So that proves my point. Not only do men find my mind unattractive (which is why I never posted tits and stuff before this - I wanted men and people in general to find my brain -sans tumor- sexy) but they don't seem to find me sexy in a corset, either.
;-) what can ya say? LOL

And yes, those are my legs.

Then, by the time I realize I'm being flirted with, the person doing the flirting will have become so obvious, that I hit Protective Ice Princess mode, and shut myself down/them out.

I find your current AV very sexy, but I am a woman, so if not proving I am certainly not disproving your point... Perhaps women are just a bit more subtle... (getting ready for the slings...)

The older I get, the more I value the female relationships I have. I've found there to be less competition and more joy and love in my friendships with women. And I'll open myself up to some slings - and arrows - because I think that comes with maturity and age.

My female friendships now are nothing like they were when I was a younger woman. And it's all for the better.

See, I just took on board the general complaint that 'net men are all about the visuals, and ignore the mind of the person posting. When I said it was nice to see your face, I was trying to be subtle about it, but the av in general was sexy as hell, including and especially your face and hairstyle, which complement each other very well.

<braces for Ice Princess mode> I have found, based on posts and AV, you to be a very interesting person, and a very attractive one, physically. I wonder where the mental block comes from. I understand the defensiveness towards blunt or crass flirting, but... nevermind, I'm fishing for a reason, since I shared my reason for the mental block. I'm certainly not entitled to an answer on something that nosey.

I can relate to this comment.

I've had attached women come on to me, many times. Some were very beautiful.

But the negative effect of their dishonesty and disrespect for the unwitting partners made a far greater impression than anything they had in the way of tits and ass.
