Chyoo 3???

Im sorry but im sort of confused on your thread when your talking about the age thing?

Does anyone know why I can't browse the different stories by genre in CHYOO3? Nothing happens when I click on a different genre and its a real pain.

It would be cool if chyoo 3 had a built in translator so you can read those non-english stories...cuz some of the titles i read sound like it would be cool.

Bastian,

That feature is still on its way.

You might want to read back in this thread for Ofhabit2's draft for Chyoo3's prospective features. As he said there, he's "winging it".

Login Problem

Hey,
I have never been able to login to the site. When I use my chyoo2 name and passwork then click login, i just get the blank login page again. Asking for my nickname and password. When I enter it again, I have the samr problem. Am I doing something wrong? I made sure my cookies settings for my webbrowser allowed Chyoo.net. Do I need to "sign up" ? or what? I'd like to be able to enjoy the site and share my Chyoo 2 stories with some different people.

Tim,

I get the same "false start" (login box on home page takes me to the login page). But after I enter my username/password for the second time, I get a "user home page"with my name on it.

Maybe you can drop Ofhabit a message and he can take a look at your account?

Yeah, you need to sign up as if you were a new user, but make sure you use the same username and password as CHYOO2. You can then import your stories from CHYOO2.

Hey i was just wondering how the construction on chyoo3 is going??

...Well, I guess that answers that question:)

To be fair, there was an update on the site on 17th Jan, which is still about six months more recent than official Chyoo.

Right. The crusty old man of the BDSM, Les, and Sci-Fi writing bent is back. My U-name and P-word don't log me into The Tres, so I'll try signing up as if I were a n00b. I'm a little hinky about whether to import my stories from The Deuce or start them fresh.

I think I'll start 'em fresh.

IMO, not letting people start their own until they've added "x" number of threads to other people's stories is a little elitist, and would chase off folks with ideas of their own that we might like to build from. I do see where "earning one's spurs" might be an attractive idea, but some form of moderation or someone to report really egregious faux pas to would just as easily rectify the problems that will come up.

I think volunteer editors might be a good idea, for folks whose grasp of the english language is poor, either due to this not being their native tongue, or due to "chat lingo" or H4xx0rz 5p33k being their preferred mode of electronic communication.

Not to mention the "their, there" "your, you're" problems that frankly make so much erotic fiction unreadable.

And yes, I'll volunteer to edit, since it was my suggestion.

One thing that is needed soon is email notification of pending threads, approved threads, and such. I just found a thread in one of my stories that had been sitting unapproved for a long time. I didn't know it was there.

Thats surprising...considering that whenever there is an unapproved thread n such...Chyoo usually gets to me right away...or maybe its a Chyoo 3 thing??

One thing about Chyoo3:

If you have added threads to my stories on Chyoo2 after November 8th of last year, please update the stories on Chyoo3 as well. I can't reimport my stories, so this is the only way, so far, to get those threads into Chyoo3.

Thanks.

The question is why you would want this? Why maintain two unmoderated, unupdated sites when the original unmoderated, ignored, unupdated site will do just fine? I just don't see any reason to add anything to the Chyoo3 site as it appears to have been totally abandoned midstream.

I don't know if anyone else has any thoughts on this, but I won't be adding anything to Chyoo3 until it is actively being worked on again.

It's only been 4 months. That's just normal busy for a hobby project. For a "professional" site, like chyoo2, that is abandoned.

I would like for than 30 people to read my stories, which is all I'm going to get on Chyoo2 with an unapproved story. I at least have hope that Chyoo3 will be worked on soon. I have no such hope for chyoo2. The best thing would be for the chyoo2 management to simply cede chyoo2 to a group of dedicated editors.

I agree it would be nice if they would let someone take charge of the site and actually update the sucker once in a while. I have no idea why we get no communication, no explanation, no nothing on what is going on.

So is what you are saying is that you want anyone who adds to your story on Chyoo2, to add the same thread to Chyoo3?

I'd be perfectly happy to work on CHYOO3 once it gets going fully, & everything appears to have made the switch.

But we should make sure we have a good enough base of writers & editors,... Meaning, no threads I write today that won't even be looked at (let alone approved/denied) until 2006.

Hmmmm so true...sadly nuff it doesn't seem either is gonna fly much at this point...which is why I remain with Chyoo2...its still getting posts...and still active...at least as far as writers go...for the rest of it? Alas I don't see it becoming true...instead slowly dying out...like my favorite chatroom.

Hehe hope you don't mind...gonna advertise that chatroom too. :D

Chatrooms name: Ampland

Way to get access...you can either download the mIRC chatting program or go through the worldsex website...go to thier java chat and instead of going to #worldsex go to #ampland. Hope to see a few of you there. All are welcome as long as you're over 18. :)

I've been to chyoo3 maybe 2 or 3 times. I dont know if this has been asked, but is Chyoo2 owned by literotica or by someone else?

I love Worldsex. I use to use Ampland but now mainly stick to Worldsex. I have never tried the chat rooms there, as I am not much of a chatter. I mostly enjoy the thumbnail gallery links.
