Cock Talk

Lucy becomes a child killing monster. Go with Mina. Best yet, be BookMina. BookMina kicks ass.
I listened to a great adaptation last year. Tim Curry was Van Helsing 😍

Its a shame that a lot of adaptations now run with the idea that Mina is Dracs true love reincarnated (though I will always adore Winona). It does such a disservice to her character, her inner strength and her love for Jonathan.

Yes, I hate, hate, HATE that part of Bram Stoker's Dracula. They talk about wanting to go back to the original story, in which has none of the crap they added. I know, why -- in the novel, Dracula is barely in the last half, and he is a raping monster rather than a sexy Gary Oldman, but still. Making Mina fall in love with him completely does my girl wrong. In the book, Mina has an incredible agency for a woman in a book written in 1897. And in the movie, Drac turns her best friend, the sweet, loveable Lucy, into a vampire that kills children exclusively. And WinnonaMina is just like, "okay, but I love him!" BookMina was determined to destroy Dracula, and put her soul in hock to do so. And BookMina is complexly in love with her husband. She is a great character.

I also hate Dracula's stupid weird ass armor. It was ridiculous looking and made no sense whatsoever. And had horns, the stupidest addition to armor ever.

I would listen to anything that had Tim Curry in it. Hell, I watched Congo...

I call myself a horror movie fan, but people seem to misinterpret that. I have never seen a second of any Saw movie, I don’t know who The Nun is, Annabelle can suck my balls and I don’t like anything Rob Zombie has done.

Horror isn’t just slashers, gore and zombies. Jaws, Norman Bates, Nosferatu, The Wicked Witch, Frankenstein (the doctor and the Monster), even Gossamer from Bugs Bunny are all horror characters. And, when you’re a kid, anything can scare you. Remember that lady in Superman III that gets turned into a robot? Terrifying!

Anyway, just a reminder that Halloween is awesome and everyone is entitled to one good scare! (<—Halloween reference).

I think honesty is completely overrated.

I've really sat with this one for a long time and I do understand that need in others. I certainly don't have it in myself.

Like everything in life, there's a lot of grey areas in all things honest and true, etc. It's a really interesting part of someone's "character" - their honesty. Because in my opinion it's still subjective.
Well, yes. Honesty is expressing your thoughts and feelings sincerely and accurately, so it's subjective by definition.

Honesty isn't the same as truth. Do you mean that you don't always feel the need to express your opinions accurately, or that you don't always feel the need to tell people the truth about things?

We have one week until Halloween. Let’s lighten things up a bit . . .

I don’t know who Sara is. But, I’d let her chop me into bits after sex.

What horror movie character do you think you are most like?

Patrick Bateman. He knows a good business card when he sees it.

What horror movie character would you most like to be?

Jigsaw. I like how mysterious he is.

What horror movie character would you like to have sex with?

Jennifer Tilly from Chucky. I can’t quite put my finger on why that is, though…

What is your favorite horror movie?

Fright Night or Lost Boys

What horror movie are you still too afraid to watch?

I don’t think I’ve ever run across a movie I was too afraid to watch. I don’t like super gory movies, but that’s just because I find them a bit annoying, not because I find them scary.

If you were playing a character in a horror movie, what type of death scene would you like?

Bitten by a sexy female vampire. Easy answer.

Who is the sexiest horror movie monster (any antagonist)?

Gonna have to say my girl Alyssa…

While Alyssa might be considered the protagonist, if I remember the movie correctly, she was a bad vampire from a past life. I don’t remember much except that there were vampires and it starred Alyssa Milano’s boobs.

If you don’t like that answer, the alien from Species.

What is the best nude scene in a horror movie?

See above.

Do you prefer horror movies, books, campfire tales, podcasts, rollercoasters?

Movies.

What is your preferred way to enjoy being scared.

I like watching a good psychologically stimulating horror. Blood and guts do nothing for me. The only movie I would consider gory that I thought was decent was the first Saw. I liked the plot. But I like to be left all uncomfortable.

Funny thing… my parents let me watch whatever I wanted as a child. Not sure why, but when I was about 4, my favourite movie was Fright Night. I watched that all the time. Over and over. Never had a nightmare.

Who did I have a nightmare about? Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty the cartoon. That bitch scared me pee-less.

The girl in the picture

But who is she? Where can we see more of her in less?

The guy who's on it wrote 'Ghost Story: 2.22' - a great play - if you've ever seen it.
I read up on this and now I want to see! :cattail:

There is a podcast in the UK called Uncanny.
I just started listening to this last week. I’m almost done with the entire thing. Love it!
I was sent a couple of episodes to try, but have yet to listen. Something I need to rectify, clearly.

Books. Well old me loves books. I love King. His short stories are especially good at those little unsettling whispers in the dark.
I don't care for his novels, but I do like his short stories. Strawberry Spring really got me when first read! An audio version was done sometime in the last couple of years.

There are few answers on here with which I have agreed with as much as this one. I want make popcorn and watch movies with you on a couch under a big blanket right now...

Together we could make it through The Spiral Staircase.
Will you let me close my eyes and hold my hand and tell me when the closet scene is over?

If so, 😎

I have heard of Saw and Rob Zombie. The Nun and Annabelle? No idea.

Horror is a wide genre. 🤷‍♀️

Oh! Thought of a new scare. The Weeping Angels in one of the Dr. Who reboots. I, quite literally, had to slow frame the show on those scenes. While huddled under a blanket. It was the only way I could waaaaaaaaatch. 🫣

They were terrifying.

For those of you incapable of searching the term 'Sara with big breasts' - :p

Spelled properly of course - it might be Sara Jean Underwood. Playmate 2006. Looks just like her.

You concern me. Possibly not as much as default and his liver, but . . . .

Well, I thought I’ve searched every potential name paired with “big breasts” and she didn’t look familiar.

Does anyone else think it’s funny that Enny and Aussie knew who this girl was when Hotwords and I didn’t? Who’s the perv now?

Awwwww. You’re just saying that.

Well, it seems the cat is out of the bag.

Do me one better; look up her boyfriend- Jacob Witzling 😁

He's a huge part of why I like her so much

I knew who she was. RIP Sara, If only my cum had resurrection powers instead of life-creation powers. Oh well

Great question. I thought about the difference between truth and honesty all afternoon. That was a fascinating trek into the annals of my mind 🤣 admittedly I can use the words synonymously even though they very much aren't.

This got me thinking about the application of logic and the effect of emotion within all of this. Logical fallacies and the sorts...

I believe both are true;
* I don't feel the need to express my opinions and emotions accurately. If I'm honest, I don't think I'm actually possible of being able to do so. #skillsgap
* I don't feel the need to tell the truth in every situation.

Understanding things takes time and experience and I don't believe honesty or truthfulness is always a decent measure of someone's integrity. I used to. Then life kinda kicked my ass a little more ☺️
