Crafty Litsters show your work!

Those are amazing!

I wish I had an eye for jewelry. I can see dresses in couch covers, but put me infront of some beads and wire and I'm lost.

I have a couple of costumes in my personal collection that could really use some jewelry.

Thanks! :D

I will do custom orders for folks depending on my current workload, so if you have something in mind I'm willing to give you some feedback on what might look good with those outfits. Or if you have designs you like, I'm game. Drop me a PM. :D

I'm venturing into this thread..
I make Jewelry as my artform that keeps me sane between also having two jobs and a LDR with Master.

I sell my work at a couple local shops. I'm still wondering how to go about getting a website going.

I never use plastic in my designs.
I use recycled glass and gemstone beads from antiques and also use real stones and glass beads I buy at shows, online, and at stores. The metals I use are copper, brass, silver fill, gold fill, gold plate and silver plate.

Enjoy. :D

Beautiful! When you get a website, let us know. I would love to have some of these pieces.

My first commissioned piece this year. Juliet from Gnomeo and Juliet :cathappy:

Sorry it's cropped weird, but for some reason the bottom isn't showing when I pull the picture file up.

Anyway, this has lead to commission number two: Lucy's coronation gown for a 3 year old's Chronicles of Narnia theamed birthday party.

Whoo hoo!

Awww! That is so great!

That looks awesome, Wenchie!

One of my recent paintings, and clay roses I made/painted/fired.

Lease don't take tthis the wrong way' it's probably just because I need laid, but those roses, the first thing I thought was, "that would make an awesome butt plug!"

Wow, great use of subtle tonal changes in the greys and oranges- the whole overall look is way classier. I think you really showed up the previous designer.
LOL thank you! But this site actually won an award for 03/04 -- it was among the best of its kind back then. I have better tools at hand, mostly. I'm standing on the shoulders of giants. :D

Some cross-stitch I've done.

That's some major work there, especially the last two. I'm in the Xmas spirit so how are you going to use the Santa Claus and snowman?

All of these are pretty small (for me anyway). Not to sure yet what I'll do with the Christmas ones. What I really like to do is put cross-stitch on sweat shirts or do really big designs. I have a couple of dragon sweat-shirts I should take pics of. It always seems so slow in the beginning but then you reach a point where things really start to come together.

Beautiful. I love cross-stitch, but I don't have the patience to do it around my kids.

I know what you mean. I have a little one and haven't been able to cross-stitch for over a year but looking forward to starting again soon. Maybe I'll do a few plastic canvas things first as those goes faster.

I'm an infrequent poster, but here's some of my stuff :)

These are some cufflinks made for my hubby's Security Forces buddies. The guys grabbed me some spent brass and I cleaned them up and put them into the cufflink blanks.

Made for a jewelry swap, this one I called Industrial Moondrop. It's made from an old LED light bulb that was in a pocket flashlight that no longer worked, some piece of hardware from Lowe's that I have no clue what its really used for but I liked the shape, and some reclaimed watch parts from some busted watches I picked up for nearly nothing at a flea market.

This one was made from an old domino and some wooden beads that I bought on a whim at a flea market for around 50 cents. I usually don't use wooden beads, but I loved the painted ones and am happy with how this came out.

Finally, the DaVinci Scrabble tile wire wrapped with brass wire. The picture is sealed under jeweler's grade resin and the tiles were from a game purchased at a local Faith Rescue thrift store.

I like recycling and/or upcycling stuff and scour the thrift stores for cool stuff to use.

Ooohhh I love the scrabble tile one! That's beautiful.

There were wooden things that we could paint and decorate at art class. Guess what this made me think of? (Unfortunately it'd probably break if I tried it...)

That one was made with sponges and random "leftover" paint.

I took pics of people wearing them, too-- you can see some macho men in lace at the website http://probablepossible.com

ETA: I'm sorry the pics are so large :0

Those are nice. I have a couple antique ones I have yet to wear. Seems like something you could sell at the Edwardian Ball. Not sure how vendors do but it sure is a fun event to attend.

It looks as if there's a lot of vendors already... I would love to attend it, for sure!
