The average vagina is 3-5”? I’m skeptical. At over 6”, I’ve been with a number of different women and all have taken my full length without bottoming out against a cervix. My question to those men wishing they had a 7" or longer dick... (I do... and wish I didn't!)
If it is true that the average vagina is 3-5 inches deep, then what purpose does greater penis length serve? Do you not realize that with even a 6" penis you will be hitting most womens' cervix before your pubic bone ever presses against her vulva - you know, the place where her clitoris happens to be!
Don't you understand that is NOT ideal for either of you?
Thickness is a different matter. ..Vaginal muscles can stretch to accommodate above average girth. But not much can be done when the dick is too long.
Actually... 2-5".The average vagina is 3-5”? I’m skeptical. At over 6”, I’ve been with a number of different women and all have taken my full length without bottoming out against a cervix.
Love those lyrics!! For a ZZ top fan I like it. Honestly I’m surprised they don’t really sing that. Most of their songs have hidden innuendos… I mean take for example, pearl necklace.
I’m not buying the sdCalc numbers. I plugged (no pun intended) my erect length in and the number which cones up is 97.23%. I’ve always assumed I was average, maybe slightly larger than average, but 98.23%?Not to put too fine a point... But 6" girth is not merely "on the thicker side." The average girth is 4.6" so you are 1.3x the average girth. According to sdCalc website, based on global averages, In a room of 1000 men, only 2 would be thicker. See my post above.
I agree, having a really big dick ain't all it's cracked up to be.
Don't know what to tell you on that... If you're skeptical just make sure you're measuring it the same way as were the study participants ..Ruler laid on top, pressed lightly into the pubic bone. Measuring from the side or below would easily add enough length to put you way up in the percentile - even just a 1/2" would make a big difference in where you fall.I’m not buying the sdCalc numbers. World vs Western averages can come into play. Your percentages will be a little lower when compared to Western studies' combined averages. But also, the porn consuming public has a skewed perception of penis size.I’m not buying the sdCalc numbers. I plugged (no pun intended) my erect length in and the number which cones up is 97.23%. And as stated in the article, the vagina will elongate slightly during sex..
But my point remains. ..To want a dick that is 7"+ long is to want a dick that will be too long to entirely (and comfortably) fit inside most women. ...So, why would someone want that?
I had never measured until seeing this thread about a year ago, and did measure across the top. My first wife was the only one who ever complained about my size and throughout our marriage sex was primarily oral. She’d had only one prior lover and I assumed he was tiny, as she said it didn’t hurt with him. I remain skeptical that fewer than 2% of men are longer than 6-3/4” erect.Don't know what to tell you on that... All I'm trying to say is that having a huge cock will likely do more to hinder sexual enjoyment than enhance it. This certainly has been my own personal experience. ..And noting that the average vagina is somewhere b/w 2-5" deep would explain why.
Back over the holidays, I was able to put this to the test. I had sex with a young man who was longer and thinner than Hubby. As I mentioned before, I typically stayed away from longer penises partially because in my experience they hurt... but that experience was all with young, hard thrusting guys. And while this guy was young, I kept control by giving him instructions... And I took all his length with only one real "ouch" moment. It was quite nice.Meanwhile, the cervix is not straight ahead at the base of the vaginal canal. It actually comes off the side of the vaginal canal at a sort of 90 degree angle near its base. The actual base of the vaginal canal (just beyond the cervix) is sometimes referred to as the "A' spot and reaching it can be quite pleasurable. Although whether a large cock pushed in indelicately hits the cervix (ouch) or the 'A' spot (ah) can be a function of relatively modest change in the angle of approach.
A lot of good points. I am on the slender side and older and over the years have experienced some larger than average men. I have had a couple of men that claimed 9" and I would say they were right or close to it. An average sized man works perfectly fine for me but I can enjoy the larger ones as well. They can be quite fun when the mood is right and I have always managed to take them to the hilt. Perhaps just need to start a little slower and make sure I am fully aroused.According to Planned Parenthood the average vagina is 2"-4" deep but can lengthen to twice that when aroused (4"-8"). That is 100% increase in depth. Psychology Today says it can extend its length by 200%. All sources speak of how elastic the vagina is, some referring to it as somewhat akin to a balloon in its ability expand. And most sources make the point that there are substantial variations among women just as there are among male penis sizes.

There is no question that porn misrepresents cock sizes and women's ability or desire for a large cock. But the idea that anything larger than average will ram into most women's cervix if she is fully aroused is spurious.
Personally I am able to take a large cock and I enjoy it. I know lots of women who enjoy larger than average and I know lots that prefer average. But I've never heard any complain of discomfort unless they were dealing with a cock that was notably larger than average.
The idea of size etc for men, seems to parallel the debate of women's tits. As a buddy of mine once so aptly observed when I asked if the tits that had been flashed at him were nice, he simply deadpanned back at me: "Have you ever seen bad tits?" Or in the contemporary parlance: It's ALL Good!A lot of good points. I am on the slender side and older and over the years have experienced some larger than average men. You are absolutely right. The cock is part of a package and how good it is depends on he entire package. The idea of size etc for men, seems to parallel the debate of women's tits. you had me at "back in the day when I was a stripper"I think that men generally probably do overestimate the size of their cock - either through optimism or inaccurate measurement. But I doubt you would confuse 6" with 9" even if you didn't have a measuring tape handy. I am curious as to how you would characterize your dating pool.
I can't speak to the efficacy of any given study or group of studies, but I do know that my dating pool is not the entire population. And anecdotally I would say that the average penis size of the men that I have dated is larger than the average of the total population. They aren't all huge and I don't live in a porn video, but larger men are not as rare as hen's teeth or unicorns either.
Just to take it to the extreme, back in the day when I was a stripper in Toronto it was pretty common for pro-athletes to come into our club (Toronto has and had at that time a sports team in in one of every major league sport except NFL). It was not uncommon for some of us to party with the players and they damn sure were a lot larger than the entire population. My dating pool is somewhat different now, but it is still heavily skewed towards larger men and that is the experience of most of the women I know who are sexually active and thought to be desirable.
While that may be true, it wouldn't be b/c these athletes are larger men. Penis size - in the research cited by the sdcalc creator, anyway - is NOT strongly correlated w/ body size. ˆIf memory serves, he says something like penis length average increases ONLY by 1/10 of an inch for every 3" of additional height over the average male height of 5'8". So a 6'5" athlete may likely have a longer penis, but only very slightly so - about 3/10" longer than average.anecdotally I would say that the average penis size of the men that I have dated is larger than the average of the total population. Many men associate penis size with virility, and that leads to "visions of grandeur" - and "measuring" and/or estimating to produce the "best" result. While that may be true, it wouldn't be b/c these athletes are larger men. Unlike some organs, like heart & lungs which need to be larger to support a larger person, penis does not. He gives examples of other such organs, but I can't recall for sure - appendix comes to mind.
It makes sense. ..Lungs, heart, liver, etc... are all there to support an individual mans body. But his penis needs to be able to match up with an average woman's vagina.
I would say that my dating pool is pretty much average. I have dated a guy for about a year that was significantly above average but of the 3 guys I normally see now, one is average, one slightly about average and one below average. The average guys is the newest and the youngest. Also the least experienced so I am enjoying teaching him a few things. The biggest guy is the best lover but that is more about personality and similar sexual desires. Dating some serious athletes sounds like it could be really fun. I never got a chance to do that but I would give it a try if it were available.I think that men generally probably do overestimate the size of their cock - either through optimism or inaccurate measurement.
