Do you miss porn magazines?

I don't miss them at all. Absolutely everything they contained is available on the internet, often for free. My biggest problem with magazines was storage. It's easy to store one or two magazines, but after that ti becomes difficult. I used to hide them by mixing them in with my Sports Illustrated mags. My wife had no interest in the SIs, so she never touched the stack. Also, I can't count how many times my collection got too big and had to be purged. That usually happened when I had to move.

I loved magazines back in the day. I even had a subscription to Penthouse when I was eighteen. My mom would get the mail and put it on the steps to my upstairs room.
I loved reading the Forum. That was all there was back then if you wanted to read about the sexual experiences of people. There was no internet, of course, and no Literotica.
The liquor store near my house still sells many porn mags, but they're all sealed in plastic. I call foul! How can a person decide if he can cum hard to a mag if he cannot skim through it first? Ah...the good ole days. :)

I was so excited to find the Penthouse Letters and Penthouse Forum magazines that were all letters. I'd always hope there were a few good bisexual male stories, and there usually were.

I mean, I loved a good naked picture, but the letters were even more fun.

I actually discovered Literotica by searching for erotic stories.

Nope. I worked in a recycling facility that saw thousands of unsold porn mags come through there. Pretty much seen everything legal there is to see in any way it could be shown. It jaded me a bit. Even now I can't stand porn vids unless they are amateur stuff. Those can be hot. Porn actresses are just ridicuous to me.

And if Playboy and Penthouse weren't readily available, the Fredricks of Hollywood catalog was nice standby.

Victoria's Secret, too. And there were some German department store catalogs back in the day that had amazing ladies underwear sections.

I miss PenthouseLetters. Especially the annual Wife Watching edition. Shortly after developing my fetish of other men screwing my wife, a friend gave me a stack of Letters magazines. I soon focused on the Wives sections. And found myself jerking off imagining I was reading about my wife. Now fast forward years later and we’re a happy hotwife couple.

Penthouse Letters is still published. It's something like $10 or $11 an issue now.

I miss the old Club, Club Confidential, Penthouse, Penthouse Letters, Playboy, and Penthouse Forum magazines. Many of them are still published, but at $10-$15 a pop and free porn (and letters/stories) available on the internet it's not worth buying them.

Do any of you miss old school porn magazines? I used to have a huge collection of porn mags, mostly lesbian. Lots of my free time was spent relaxing in bed naked, propped up on some pillows, stroking myself with lotion, and flipping through my favorite porn mags.
It's not the same with my laptop. I'm afraid I'll cum on my keyboard.
I loved the gay porn newspapers, like Big David. I miss that so much.

Don't think I miss the mags themselves but the feeling of getting them. Being young and discovering one just in the mail box or finding one after snooping about. In a way it was taboo. That was just for Playboy or something vanilla. Finally getting to peel one open while being IRL ingognito looking over both shoulders with a mag in my trembling fingers. Then the utter shock of seeing the hardcore stuff that showed it all. Those were often the ones that were in the worst shape because of "usage".

Not just mags. But old VHS movies. I remember sneaking around and snatching these things from sock drawers or closets. Then having to plan my viewing away from everyone else. Those old tapes seem so retro even when I grew up to own my own collection. And even then it felt so raunchy to have this stash of literature and media not meant for anyone else's prying eyes. And usually just getting the mags or tapes out meant that I was also about to pull out my cock.

It's incredible to have porn at ones fingertips but damn there's just something nostalgic about the old medium. Always felt like a smutty spy sleuthing around. Can't replace that feeling.

Since I’m not over 50 years old I must’ve missed the nostalgia of it. I have a damn computer in the palm of my hand that can bring up any porn that ever existed. So if given the choice of flipping through pages, getting papercut just to find one low resolution photo of a woman from the 70s or watching an amazing video of my personal favorite pornstars;I’ll take the latter.

my aunt had a store that carried playboy. this was way back in the old country, she carried it because us servicemen would come in and buy things.

my cousin and would always look thru them - I always wished I could be in it.

all the gals were beautiful, you know all round beautiful. I was just a skinny chinese girl then.

saved by the internet :)

Between high school and college a friend and I stayed with friends of his family in DC. The lady of the house, being a thoughtful and very progressive host of two 18 year old boys, fetched out her husbands porn mags and left them out for us in the basement where we were sleeping. Loads of current and historical stuff, a great collection. We jerked off together each and every night basically, and were hard pressed (pun intended) to turn up for the tours and events she organised for us in the nations capital. The phrase ‘inside the beltway’ still triggers me.

Did I enjoy 'adult' mags when I was a kid? Yes. It was all I had access to.
Once I found VHS porn, I quit mags. Then DVDs displaced VHS. Then downloaded clips on a hard drive. Now streaming.
Next will be some bluetooth VR fleshlight/lovedoll and no one will watch porn online.

Reminds me of people who miss vinyl records. The hiss. The skips. The scratches. No thanks. If you like that, go all the way back to wax cylinders.
Once I got a CD player, the records were history. That is progress. (in my opinion)

Never met a girl who wasn't curious about what her guy would choose to look at.

Liked Penthouse always had good articles to go with the cute girls. Private was definitely steamy

I actually discovered Literotica by searching for erotic stories. My was my dad’s playboys. Awkwardly looking at them with my brother not into it. babysat for someone and discovered stacks of Penthouse forums in their closet. Crazy for a young completely inexperienced guy.
The first porn mag I saw was playboy. My dad picked up his mail and I was like oh National Geographic! My mum muttered in the front seat as I opened it. So that summer was an examination of these magazines whenever the parents were out.

When we moved and cable appeared, there was a desperation to just see a bit of breast in that late night movie, or find a bit of printed nudity. I did have at least one instance of finding “dumped in the woods” porn. My friends and I , freaked out, couldn’t figure out how to deal with it and ran over it with a bike.

I had an awful (common?) experience of going across town to buy some magazines. A three pack. Just so embarrassed and hoping they wouldn’t comment.

And so no, I do not miss it at all.

Have to admit yes, I did like Mayfair and Penthouse, favourite was probably Linda Lusardi who can still be seen on the web if you look hard enough… but yes a lot of very attractive ladies and hours of fun :)

I had a decent collection from my 20-30s Penthouse led to Letters and Forum, which led to Club and Club International. When I got divorced, about 15 years ago the porn and a bunch of music magazines went into the recycling. I just didn't want to move it (or have it found by some friends helping me move).

Actually, if you go to places in Asia like Japan they still have them. I’ve bought a couple of magazine from there over the years but yes it does seem shit you can’t really get them in England or back home in France so easily these days

My fascination with porn magazines started in about 1960. At the time Playboy was top dog and there were other gentlemen’s magazines whose names escape me now these many years later. Being only 11 at the time meant they were hard to come by. But with persistence I acquired a decent collection of Playboy, Gent, and Swank. I was a country boy and rather than try hiding them in the house I found place outside where I could stash them. I needed access from prying eyes and availability for me and a couple of friends who had reached prepubescents.

These were pretty tame by today’s standards. You could she nakedness, bare breasts and rarely maybe a nipple. But young as were were we were easily aroused. Until Penthouse came along I don’t think we ever saw a naked male or a pussy. For a number of years the only pussy we saw was overgrown with hai making the exact anatomy difficult to see. Then eventually there came Hustler. Wide open and many times shaved bare it was a revelation. Around 1965 I began to see 8mm film peep show starting to appear. These showed men and women masturbating, performing oral sex on one another and of course intercourse. That was the beginning of the decline in popularity of print magazines with many smaller publications disappearing rapidly until the big three of Playboy, Penthouse and Hustler were all that remained.

My whole generation had been informed and misinformed by these magazines. I sometimes missed those innocent days.
