February Poem Contest

12 more hours, people. (Geez, I hope you guys get these posted quickly. I'm SOOOO eager to read what folks did with this picture!)
 
Good going, poets.

It was an inspiring picture there. It even wrung a poem out of me, and I'm not even allowed to enter. :)

a poem entry was mailed to me instead of to the poetry contest.. i received it well before the dealine.

should i pm it to you, anna?

liar - i think we're putting up a thread of poems inspired by the poem but not entered in the contest. you can put yours up there. there are a few others.

I guess I tried 15 times and I couldn't get a poem out of that picture to save my life. It was hard. I can't wait to read what others have done...

I got one PM to me that was cute,
they didn't want to enter the contest
but was inspired by the pic, I won't
mention the name but I'll tell her
to send it to ... liar? <grin>

What do you mean? I can read minds. But it's plain impossible to comprehend what all you wimmin are thinking, so it's not of much use. ;)

The February Poem Contest Submissions are Up


Voting terms:

1. There are THREE threads.
2. Please vote on your favorite (one) poem in EACH thread.
3. The polls are public. People will be able to check to see your vote.
4. The two highest scoring poems from each thread will move on to the finals.
5. The six finalists will send their votes via to "The Poetry Contest"
6. Patrick and/or Liar will tally the votes and announce the winning poem.
7. After the winner is announced, Anna will post the names of the authors of all 24 poems.

Thank you for participating, as poets and for reading and voting on your favorite poems. It is not going to be easy, they are ALL outstanding submissions!
