Well, right now we can't put 100,000 actual trigger pullers on the ground anywhere in the world. The Army can't recruit, the Navy is retiring more ships than it builds, half the Air Force can't be put into the air, the Marines have dropped their tanks and cut their artillery, and all but one are busy driving their white males from their ranks. Zelensky was able to accept any agreement he wanted to and chose not to. The last agreement Ukraine with Russia had were deemed invalid by Putin long before any invasion.

It could be much worse. We haven't fought a peer-level enemy since WWII, nor have we trained or equipped our military to do so. In WWII the US had 90 Army divisions which included 25 Armored divisions in the field against the Germans. We had 21 US Army and airborne divisions and 6 Marine Divisions in the Pacific Theater. Today in total we have 15 Army divisions (some under-strength) and 3 Marine divisions.
