It's amazing how you really don't notice how much noise a couple little ones can make until they are not there.

As our kids have gotten (is that even a word?) older, I find my tolerance threshold for little kids' noice has lowered. I thinks it's a conditioning thing.

Enjoy the peace and quiet.
It IS amazing, and my husband's likely experiencing the same thing 2 1/2 hours from here.

I have a really high tolerance for noise. When we went to my husband's Christmas party at work last year, I made sure the kids had eaten, and then I sat down to my own meal. There were probably 20 kids--from newborns to age 10 or so, and things were pretty noisy. A couple of people remarked on how I'd seemed to tune everything out while I was eating. I see it as preservation of sanity.

What's really fun, though, is to let the kids think I'm tuning them out.

I will definitely enjoy the peace and quiet, thanks, though I get a little paranoid at night because we're a little isolated from our neighbors.

Well enjoy it the best you can and I hope the weather holds up for your bbq.

Time to head off to work, thanks for the chat, it's been a nice start to the day.

Eilan, soak up the quiet for all it's worth, or crank up the music and streak around the house. ;)

So are your 2 older girls with your ex for the weekend and you have the house all to yourself? Now that would truly be bliss.
My hubby would have taken all four girls with him if the older ones weren't going with their dad on Sunday.

I think it WOULD be bliss to be completely alone for a couple of days. But it would also seem weird because I'm used to the semi-controlled chaos around here.

Happy Friday everyone! Had the day off from work today and went on a 2nd date with the guy who took me to dinner last week. This time I paid, we had lunch, then some shopping and a drive to see the remaining bits of foliage here while we got a nice chance to talk. Back to my place for coffee and cake. No further details but the day was FUN with a capital "PH" :D

Actually, looks like it's some quality time for you and the older girls without the little ones around. I suspect they don't get that as much as the little ones do, especially with school.
Yeah, considering that the last time it was just the three of us, daughter #2 was two months old and the ex had just moved out.

I'VE HAD IT!!!!!!!!

i'm sure many of you are familiar with the tragedy that is my penis' life. first there was the poison ivy and subsequent menthol treatment for said ailment... neither was much fun, though the latter was shorter lived. then there was the whole icy-hot fiasco... far more intense than the menthol and longer lasting.

now i have a new phallic hell story... tonight i walked the dog, ate dinner and did the dishes as is usually my night from 6:30 to 7:30pm. by 8pm i was ready to take my regularly scheduled pre-prime-time-tv piss. when i did, i saw a spot on the head of my penis. i thought it was some kind of debris, like a piece of organic matter or something of that sort... but when i went to remove the offending particle, i discovered that it was, in fact, a tic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

christ... if this turns into lyme i'm going to have one hell of a problem.

The question begs to be asked: Where has your dick been lately that you haven't know about it? And even more, imagine how the tick feels, riding around all day on a pecker, in the dark! :D

Or Lucky.

Scaly, you weren't here when some newbie started a "Name EJ's cock thread," were you? I don't even remember how that came about.
