Both of these are so pleasing to my eyes!

...what is the plant in the 2nd photo?
Thank you Kcar:rose: Elkshorn Fern is the common name I think. I do not know the botanicial name. That photo had a lot of background clutter.....so to draw attention to the subject matter I cleaned it up..accented some of the shadows to give contrast. I love it when I have a photo that turns out so well. The first photo is untouched... I tried to frame the plants so that the eye wanders around the photo without leaving. I love such places, the pinetrees give such nice fragrance and when the wind blows...it whispers through the trees...warmth of a hot summer day on the face, the call of a bird.:)

A phalaenopsis orchid found at a roadside stand, I could not resist... no name.

Flaming hearts
a photo of a wind chime converted with the computer program cleaned of background clutter and then layered with an airbrush of red-orange, various shades of orange, and yellow.

beautiful pictures :)
Thank you Lelanni   Love your name.

I like the hot colors of that wind chime painting ...It sort of happened. I was experimenting. Looking forward to some more when I have the time:rolleyes: .what is delightful about working on the computer is that you can save your work at various stages and if something does not work out....go back to an earlier starting point.

close up of the lip of a semi - terete Vanda, this plant blooms all the time.

Gianna...have you seen the thread below. I suspect you may have a few things worth adding if you've a mind to...lol!

The flowers in this thread are knocking me OUT! The semi-terete, Vanda, is stunning and the passion flower just out of this world! I grew them (not red...a lavender one) a few years back and they truly are exotic, ethereal, and alien...quite beautiful!

And I see Kcar's additions here....always a treat for the senses...the pictures she posts grip me in so many ways. There is such visual richness at Lit...it's overwhelming and impossible to keep up with!

Oh....I so wanna see this in real life! It reminds me of the place in my imagination where one of my "spirit guides" resides. :D

Octavia Octopus...she's got the personality of a no-nonsense but completely relaxed and all comfort-seeking african american grandmother in octopus form. She simply advises me from time to time when I seek out her advice and wisdom and sit with her as she lulls in her pond. The sound of the water gently moving and churning as she does is quite relaxing and I can "hear" her in such an atmosphere.

LOL!!! She's been "with me" for decades. :D This picture is so like her pond. But mostly I go see her on bright moon light nights. I'll take you along sometime if you'd like to meet her, Gianna. :)

Laughing...I would love that Poppy.*hug* I love taking pictures of natural Florida. there is one spot I am dying to go to that requires a bit of hiking, it has some giant cypress that the logging companies missed in the last century. Last time I was there I did not have a camera, apparently the land it was on was privately owned and cherished. So some of the trees here are ancient.....now it is a preserve used mainly for hunting. I was there the day after turkey hunting season and the birds knew it... One of them was taking a dust bath in the dirt road just feet from me, it knew I was not going to hunt it. I want to take my camera into some of the wild areas I have been to.

OOOOooo...giant cypress trees! :)

It's funny how they know things...you really think that turkey knew the season was done or did it just sense in you "no danger here"?
