I've been shaving my entire groin area with a manual razor for probably 25 years or more. My inner thighs up by my groin are highly subject to ingrown hairs from shaving so in that area I use a beard trimmer with guard on the lowest setting. For my ass and legs (knees up until the end of summer) I use a Phillips 6000 and really, really like it.

You get a little stubble the next day but then it smooth out enough to not be an issue.

I started trimming because I am partially circumcised. As a result daily I would get pubes in the foreskin. No issues except when with someone that gives you BJ’s often and she has to always remove a pube from her mouth you end up trimming. Started with scissors till I learned about beard trimmers. Been doing that ever since. I tried shaving once or twice. That sucked.
