the little one stayed up late... I passed out early. Almost fell asleep next to her bed.

I am not the master of time, which is a shame, because there are many "times" to be managed in the evening around here.

Dinner time
bath time
pajama time
time for desert
time to brushing teeth
story time
bed time

I don't even typically manage to get them in the same order, but on the rare occasion I can manage to make all those fall together seamlessly it only takes 2-3 hours.

my absolute, hands-down, #1 top priority piece of equipment when I was expecting a new little nestling was an upholstered rocker, because I knew that I would practically live in that thing for the first few months. between nursing the little one, and reading stories/doing hair/kissing ouchies, etc. for the older ones, that chair cushion came to memorize every curve in my big ol' butt before too long! and yeah, it made a comfy place to snooze if I fell asleep, which I often did.

and that the lamp uses a CFL bulb, thus more of a chemical hazard than a heat source? not great either way if you're thrashing or falling asleep next to it.
