So, some of them are going to arrive after Christmas, but as far as I know, everyone on the list IS sending something.

Next time we'll start well in advance and avoid the holiday rush. I stopped by the post office today and the line for the Automated Postal Center (which never has more than two people in front of it) was out the door.

I've heard a lot of positive feedback on the Valentine's Day idea, so maybe we'll put our efforts into that in the future. With this crowd, there are lots of possibilities there! Plus, I totally need a reason to connect with my inner child by making homemade valentines.

My Secret Santa first sent me a singing card, then a week later she sent me fish! Not real fish but a mini aquarium that can run off a USB port. It has been such fun. I'm very glad my Secret Santa knew I was quirky. It's one of those 'takes one to know one' kind of thing.

I like the idea of having our own special day rather than using a commercial one.

My first idea was Friends, Understanding, Caring & Kindness Universally, but there's just something not sitting quite right about it.

I just opened my package, and am convinced I have the best Secret Santa ever.

I got a really nice card, an awesome CD (we'll listen to it tonight, but I can tell by the songs!) and snowmen dessert plates and a platter which are so fun (but not cutesy...just my style) and something we desperately need. In fact, when we went to a Christmas party last week, I had nothing to put my cake on but a regular plate, so now I have something that's the perfect size and style for all winter (seasonal--instead of holiday-specific--decor is another thing I LOVE!).

I posted that I received my gift, but I never posted a thank you (and I ended up being without phone or Internet service for several days, dammit ).

I enjoyed all the edible goodies--at least the ones I got to eat. My husband and girls got their fair share.
