Immunities January 2012

Dang. 9 has hit every time so far. Good choice for those of you who picked it, lol.

Yeah, I noticed that. Three times in a row.

Wow - I'm shocked. I was thinking yesterday how funny it would be to have it hit again. I really didn't expect it though. Now I have to go back and think about where to place it.

Does it hurt point-wise to use all these immunities?

Well, you are losing 5 pts for every category you use an immunity for in cap level 1 because you aren't writing stories to fill it.

This is true. . . I will ponder on this before choosing this one. If I take another that's 15 points lost.

And I deleted the earlier bit (that isn't here any more) about points and immunities. I just read up on the rules. Immunities are 0. So again I must dwell on the positives versus the negatives of the immunities.

She's right, up to a point. If you use an immunity instead of writing in a category, you do not score points in that category, which reduces your potential score. But, if you use an immunity in a category where you don't write anyhow, you don't lose anything.

Also, keep in mind that, when you use an immunity to complete a cap and want to score bonuses for filling ten or twenty etc. categories, you need to fill one category to the first cap for every immunity you use.

I don't see filling at least 2 of the 3 immunities I've gotten so far being a problem. I'm not bragging, I just know my output for some categories is higher than other categories I would most likely avoid. I've almost got my chain category filled to cap level one with three stories. I don't see romance being an issue, since I'm a romance nut.

Making up the lost points though (10 at this point) could be where I fall short and so adding another five could be more painful than writing in the categories I don't feel like writing in.

I've written in all of them before, so for me it's a matter of devoting more time to stories I enjoy than categories I don't feel as comfortable writing in than any thing else.

Lucky number nine. *grin* Now watch, it won't come up again all year.
I'd like to use my immunity for this week on Incest/Taboo.
Thanks!

Yeah, there's the whole thing... do you lose the points or not, to be or not to be. That said, after doing this one year I have a very good idea of what I can and cannot do.

All the story categories I can potentially force myself to write, I CAN draw and could possibly even will myself to do audio stories. I have absolutely no will to write a chain story at all.

And so I'd like to use my immunity this week (January 18th) for Chain Stories cap level 1.

Claiming my Immunity

Yeah, I know what I want and want I don't want to do as well. I can draw and have done illustrated poems with my drawings, and I've done non-erotic photos for my story submission, this was back in 2006. I don't really want to draw, so I've used one there, and I don't really enjoy the celebrity category, so I placed one there. I'll do audio and enjoy that category, so I know that one will be covered.

I love chain stories. lol But many folks know that - so much so that I've got ideas bouncing around in my head that want to come out, but I'm hoping to get Kismet further down the road before I launch some others.

I think this time I'll use it again, and suffer the consequences of my actions when the time comes.

This week I'll use the immunity I won on Jan. 18, 2012 in the Transsexual/Cross-dressing category - cap level 1.
