This has been a bizarre read. As usual, I had no idea about any of this. I always miss the drama somehow.

That said, I’m sincerely sorry to everyone who had an emotional connection to “her”.

That also said, I can’t help but be fascinated by this. This is some kind of Munchausen by Proxy via Internet shit right here! I find someone who would create a fake persona only to kill them off interesting especially considering that Literotica is, ultimately (regardless of Pmann’s sentiments), a fiction writing/reading site. To create a character, have them interact with real people, then kill them off and watch these real people grieve is sick, evil, twisted, but also oddly understandable from a writer’s perspective. An evil, manipulative, prick writer, but still . . .

The weirdest part of all is to consider that we should all be relieved that she didn’t really die, but also feel grief that she never really lived. It’s a total mindfuck. But possibly not one that was intended.

Is it possible that the person who invented Bri was sincere (albeit fake), then the reality of the manipulation became too real and had to be eliminated? Or is it a matter of wanting to attend your own funeral? Create a fake person, kill them off and then watch the sorrow come pouring in? Or was this some avant-garde interactive fictional writing experience? <—yet another reason to hate avant-garde shit.

Either way it sucks. And REAL people are hurt because of it. But one good thing to take away is whether or not Bri was real, your kindness, goodness and warmth was brought out because of her.

Plus she had a great ass!
 
One of the things that stood out to me from the Manti Te’o docuseries was when he talked about all the times he tried to be able to see his girlfriend whether in person or on FaceTime etc., but there was always a reason why he couldn’t. He rattled off all the excuses she gave and it made me wonder why that wasn’t a red flag for him at the time. So, now it’s making me wonder if any of Brianna’s close friends ever asked her to chat off Lit or talk on a voice or video chat and what she said. Did she have a valid reason, an excuse or did that subject just never come up?

Good question but not necessary a red flag. It would be so If I was in a relationship with a guy, but not for friends/acquaintances. There are few people who have seen me in video, and I have posted a couple of gifs of myself on the boards too. However, I never ask people a video of themselves, or to videochat. I rarely ask for a pic or voice rec. for that matter.

There are all sorts of reason why people wouldn't want to take that step, no matter how close you might think you are. I totally understand that and I'm willing to take the risk and just trust the person, until I don't. Unless you have met and know each other for years, better safe than sorry.
 
The level of sleuthing and smarts happening right meow was obviously not anticipated cause yah…. now that it’s all coming together, it does seem pretty sloppy.

I’m pretty sure they already were. Those were the ones where he was able to trace one back to a porn star and one back to a totally different person from reverse searching. If I’m remembering right.
