nh's big book of Dr. visits.

So I got tired of playing phone tag with the clinic, so I stopped in there today and demanded to have a meeting with the Dr.

I bargained with the Dr. My biopsy results showed the cancer in situ, but showed a very small improvement in the dysplasia. So the meds I"m taking and the changes I've been making seem to be helping.

So here's the deal. I agreed to have a LEEP next Thursday. I'll wait three months and then I'll have another Pap. If that Pap is abnormal at ALL, we are scheduling a total hysterectomy. So we'll give my body another few months to clear it all up and if it doesn't then we'll rip it all out..LOL

I also stopped in at the college today and signed up for classes. I'm taking a few easy classes just to get going. It'll be considered full time, but it's only six hours a week and it's in the evenings. So I won't have to change my work schedule at all.

I'm not going to say it out loud..but things just may be on an upswing. :)

:nana: Yay for you!

Yay! Sounds like a very wise move, and good bargain.

Hopefully the school work will give you just the right amount of distraction, too.

Hooray! Hope everything works out!

That is awesome. I'm so happy for the both of you.

Ain't over yet, but the good guys are ahead of the game right now.

That sounds like a good choice and compromise. You know as well as I the biopsy report could have been much much worse and I am joyous that it came out like it did. Sometimes things happen for a reason and maybe that accident happened in order to make life a little easier on you as well as teach you a lesson, always buckle up. You make sure your kids are secured in the car right? Your responsible for assuring their mothers safety as well.

This news is really great, all positive, so now things can get back to being happy and comfortable for all of you. I'm very happy and relieved to hear it.

Thank you to everyone! My being online is going to be scarce for the next week or so because I"m studying my ass off for some tests for school. So don't think I bit the dust.!:p

I will try to keep this thread updated as I can.

Oh, anyone want to help me with advanced chemistry and physics? PLEASE!!

How advanced is the chemistry? I was a chem major for a few years, so depending on how far up there you're getting, I might be able to help out a little.

I'm thinking I'm going to need another chem class. It's been almost ten years since I've done any of this stuff and I need a refresher. And physics..what the hell does physics have to do with nursing. GRRR

Getting really nervous for my LEEP next week. They are going to be removing a large portion of my cervix. Anyone had one? I'm curious as to how I'm going to feel. I'm also hoping once the cancer is gone maybe I'll get some of my energy back.

In case you've never heard of Cambridge Soft's ChemBioFinder (click here), it might really help. You can look up structures, properties, all kinds of cool stuff like that here. Some of the other things on that site are pay, but this one is free. It might ask you to register after looking at a couple of things, but that's too easy with an e-mail address and password. This was really a lifesaver for me in college. And if you do have any chem questions, or even physics questions, feel free to PM me. I'd be glad to help you out any way that I can. :)

Good luck with your procedure! All of us really are wishing and hoping for the best for you.

Thank you! That is extremely helpful! I'm sure you'll get a ton of PM's.

Pretty! Very happy for you, darlin' girl. You deserve it.

And to MasDom: I salute you, man. Not for the $$ support; *anyone* (who has some $$) can do that - but for the moral/mental/emotional support you're giving her, and the sense of security that she can focus her energies on getting well and not worry about the day-to-day vagaries of life. You *are* a man.

Seems to me you're doing me some emotional support yourself. I give you my thanks for that.

Seriously though I give what I get, and pet has equally supported me and my heart as much as I happily return.

Pfffft. It's not hard to "pen" words of support; not nearly as hard as doing it in person day after day after day. And 'sides, I *like* nh - she's good folks.

That's what relationships are all about, though too many folks don't seem to realize it anymore: supporting one another in any and every way possible, giving strength where it's needed; accepting it where it's needed; and doing both freely and without thought or expectation of "getting back."
