Once Again, Who is reviewing which day?

My best friend in the whole world (my sister from a different mister... I call her, our mothers called us womb mates) called this morning that her grandmother, my Gran/nanny/auntie in the sense she was everything, sometimes more, than a foster mother << in all the good way of understanding that word, suffered a killing stroke last night. She will only linger for 3 or 4 days thus my family is off to central Ontario for an undetermined amount of time.

I hope someone will be able to take care of Fridays in my place for a week or two.

Thankyou all for your caring and genuine responses. Leon, hopefully the lit powers that be will keep your poetry load light while I'm away, although I usually have at least one gem in the midst of the usual postings. It looks like our loose ends here will be tied up and all the arrangements made by Weds. I'll be trying to keep sane through porn board posting ... I'm sure glad you all are here to help .

I am not sure if I'll be propped up with my laptop and willing to do reviews this Friday, the 18th... I may still be in hospital (heaven forbid) or still in the city where they're doing the scope come the morning after.

Note of interest -- I'll be driving west from here at 4:30 am the morning of the surgery.. ack! But, I get to drive my car there anyway. I just had blood work this morning and they had to try 4! times to get a single tube of blood... ick and ow . All better now though.

Thanks Eve. I have nothing but pure intent to get over the anaesthetic (epidural) and surgery (debridement and [probably] partial minesectomy) in record time. You can't keep a good poet (or mini driver) down, although the driving home myself won't be an option... the miniC will be getting a workout on the way there though .

I know I can always count on you or Champ or LeBroz (even Liar or Neo on occasion). I wish someone new would step up once in a while. Reviews are pretty easy and they're sort of payback for the entertainment the forum provides (such as it is).

Yes, I'm complaining. I'm working on a big editing job I've been procrastinating over all week. Now I'm working and it's making me grumpy.
