Photography: Post your photos here

The current gear that I am using is
Nikkor 10.5 (awesome fisheye)
Nikkor 16-85 Great for wideshots with good range
Nikkor 18-55 Came with the body
Nikkor 55-200 good mid range
Sigma 70-300 macro good for long range shots and a good walk around

In My future I will be getting a 18-105 nikkor and getting rid of the 18-55 and the 55-200
After that I am getting a 105 Nikkor Macro, then a 10-17 sigma but it depends on my budget and the stats on the D90X

Why get the 18-105, 16-85 and 70-300 cover your entire range. The 16-85 is quite a bit better optically and general build quality over the 18-105.

Z - Have fun with your new toy :D

I really like the photos I've seen thus far in this thread. By no means am I a "photographer", but I do love to take the Sony Alpha out for a day of shooting on most weekends. It helps that Japan is a country that begs on a constant basis to be photographed:

Thank you for inspiring me to go out more...I hope to be able to come even within a 100 miles of the artistry of some of the photographs I've seen on here someday.

I prefer the 18-105 just to keep on the body for a walk around since I dont want to keep the 16-85 in the car or chance it getting damaged, at this point I have a camera with me 90% of the time so if i damage the 18-105 its not that big of a deal

You definitely have an eye for it. Yours are not bad. The food one looks yummy and food is hard to shoot.

In the UK we celebrate Remembrance Day, remembering those lost in Wars.
I was rooting through a disk of backups and found this one from last year. He's an old National Fire Service veteran and served in WW2:-

It was a very wet day.
Cannon EOS300D.

I could not resist it. He's a nice old boy with a wicked sense of humour.
It was that he was wearing his old war-time uniform and had been standing with the "modern" firemen. The pride as he saluted was magic.

I like the clouds they look like a painting.:)
and cloudy, rainy days are my favorite to take pictures
in.

I like overcast since it helps keep the colors since they are not bleached out but the day that I shot this it I actually ended up having to hide under a tree for a few min so I didnt get soaked. I should be posting some more soon I am getting ready for a trip to the isle of mann in the uk and plan on taking all of my gear and some stuff that I am going to rent

There are worse ways to spend a day than bashing to windward in a moderate breeze:

I am just starting to bracket my stuff myself and use HDR merge.
Not had anything worth sharing yet, as far as the HDR.
Cool city shot.
I took this flower yesterday.
Darn thing moved in the smallest of air puffs hard to get good detail.
