Prayers and thoughts needed.

I know this is going to sound kind of funny and pales in comparison to some of the things here.

But I have a very special dog who is very sick. And right now it's breaking my heart..

I need some good energy for my dad. My sister called me about an hour ago to tell me there had been a fire in my dad's condo. He was uninjured but his condo has "significant damage." He's 82 years old, and lives on a fixed income so of course does not have renter's insurance. I am so thankful that he is okay, that goes without saying. But to have to start over at age 82? I just can't even imagine it. :(

positive thoughts headed his way, bg.

jeez, what about all the pictures he's collected over the years?

Thanks, ed.

Well, that's what we don't know. I'm waiting to hear what my brother has to say after he goes over to dad's place and inspects the damage. Unfortunately dad lives in FL, and I do not.

Damn! Really glad he's personally ok though. You got it.

bg: at least he's physically OK and that's what matters most, right?

Yes, you're absolutely right, ed. All the rest will work itself out.

Sending positive thoughts and vibes your way and for your father too. I sincerely hope the damage is minimal.

Consider it done sweet lady! I hope everything works out and as others have said, good to hear he himself made it out safe. :rose:

Hang tough.

Might not mean much from me, being a newbie, but I offer whatever strength a message can give.

Thoughts are with you and your family.
