Brother - that was a hot fucking track that you put on the song challenge thread.
Top fucking notch!
Helen of Oi! Has a great voice.
I have a couple of mates who are regulars at Rebellion and I've been there too. But I must confess my tastes are all over the shop. Still, I keep my ears open to what those friends recommend and I love@PearlyDewdrops
Thanks for dropping split dogs in the challenge thread. Great band and have all the right chops, look and sound!
they do have a one song rule a day there tho…
But this thread has no such restrictions.
Cuz it’s (punk) rock n roll - and the message is… do it.
Rebellion is elusive for me cuz it’s I the heart of our farming and gardening season. (Altho the farm isn’t so bad, my wife has an gardening business.) Every year we talk about it, but my practical wife finds reasons for us not to go.I have a couple of mates who are regulars at Rebellion and I've been there too. Split Dogs - Lafayette
That visual style, those lyrics, punk guitars but a bit of a northern stomper beat. Well let's say I'm out of my seat on my feet and in love.
You should definitely go to Rebellion. It's a lot of fun. I took my woman there as part of a trip around the north west (using Blackpool as a base) and it was just the best holiday ever.Rebellion is elusive for me cuz it’s I the heart of our farming and gardening season. I mean I gotta go one day - they have the most amazing lineups.
We went to rebellion Christmas in 2012. It was like a dream come true. It was in Brimginham. First a Wolves/Birmingham city match (wolves won 1-0) then to rebellion, where we saw street dogs, test tubes, exploited, UK Subs, cock sparrer and rancid headlined. Truly one of the most amazing days of my life.
Dunno to make a love emoji or a sad emoji (for departed members)…Saw The Outcasts last night in the 100 club in London. Classic 80s Belfast punk but not a huge crowd sadly. Few drinks with the band after and it also served as a tribute to a former band member who passed on New Years Day. As the lead singer pointed out, that’s now 3 of them who have left the planet.
Played there about 15 years ago. Place was full, but I know it can be empty even with good line upsDunno to make a love emoji or a sad emoji (for departed members)…
Looks like a fun time. I’ve only been to the hundred club once and no bands were playing, but I got a one-on-one audience with the owner.

Hate Rebellion and all it stands for. Keep punk DIY. Support the smaller venues.Rebellion is elusive for me cuz it’s I the heart of our farming and gardening season. They were/are amazing.I'm an older dude. The Buzzcocks were always my favorites.
I totally get what you’re saying, but for me, there’s very little chance of these bands coming to the US.Hate Rebellion and all it stands for. Keep punk DIY. Support the smaller venues.
New toy dolls lp imminent. The organisers are good people, doing it a long time.. but very closed shop. You got to know the right people to get on and play. No meritocracyI totally get what you’re saying, but for me, there’s very little chance of these bands coming to the US.
I don’t even know if the toy dolls are around anymore (I know Olga is now in the cockney rejects) but they haven’t toured the US and 30+ years. UK Subs in 20+ years.
The last time sham 69 was in the states was when I was in the army.
Most of the other “Big“ bands I have seen. In fact, last time I saw UK subs and Cocksparrer was rebellion Christmas 2012.
I have no idea who the organizers of the festival are, if they’re crooks or good people, but I would go again.
Having said that, I also don’t mind plunking down 10 -20 bucks either to see some local, new or young bands, churning it out.
JMO of course.
