Sounds like fun but what happens to the skin after the latex is off the body? Is the sense of touch heightened? Take away may sight and sound, but I would probably absolutely wiggle with a feather over skin starving for a touch.

Not that I've SEENbut the operators say it happens once in a great while
the person I was assisting with is highly claustrophobic & was pushing a limit trying it
The nice thing about this is that by simply shutting off the pump & opening the zipper you can have someone out in literally seconds if they give a distress signal
Generally someone who's going to freak would do it as soon as their face was covered, before you even zipped & pumped

We have done SD from time to time and I remember how much I used to enjoy it, love the feeling of total detachment and vulnerability. We had a minor hiccough for awhile with some other things which influenced many of my reactions to some play activities previously enjoyed, but I am hoping they are almost completely a thing of the past and I can sink into this oblivion once again in the near future.

Sensory Deprivition is probably one of the most undesireable and frightening part of BDSM for me, for a variety of reasons. It's hard sometimes because it sounds so good...and the fantasy is wonderful...but the reality for me is a disaster.

With my being deaf, my hearing is already deprived, and taking away my sight by blindfolding me takes away my ability to 'hear' entirely. With my hearing aids, I can hear a little, so if someone would remove them as well as blindfold me....complete sensory deprivation. Pyschologically, if I can't see whats going on around me, my mind goes into overdrive worrying about what is happening. It's a loss of control I just can't handle.

And gags factor into this too....I have always breathed louder/harder than I need too...since I lost my hearing. I figure it's because I need to hear myself breathing in order to assure myself that I am....sounds strange I'm sure, but it's a mental thing. If I'm gagged, I feel like I lost control of my ability to breath because I can't 'hear' myself breathing, and I panic.

So blindfolds, gags and masks are huge limits for me.

However, I love being tied down and having all the sorts of things that Eb mentioned used on me...usually I can drift into subspace with a long flogging; it's almost a natural sort of sensory deprivition...and I almost sensory deprive myself....by closing my eyes, taking out my hearing aids or simply blocking sound, biting down on my lip to contain my moans and ability to speak, etc. Then the slightest touch will set me off, make my skin tingle, and so on, but I continue to 'block' other senses. That's about the closest I come to complete sensory deprivition, which really isn't close at all lol.
