September Film Challenge 🎬

Day 13 a fill that made you want to travel

Im not a surfer at all but o fucking love sure movies. And this movie is why I traveled to Asia after college instead of Europe. Well that and the All Asia air pass being dirt cheap at the time and knowing more people I could stay with there. But anyway.

I was having a hard time figuring out a film... Until you posted Endless Summer 2 was great... But the OG!!
Again I'm not a surfer. Even know I have taken surf photos. But I can respect and love the culture.

Day 13: A film that made you want to travel:

I've always been a fan of WW2, and other period, movies and shows. I'd love to travel Europe and see the actual locations, and to pay my respect to the fallen.

I struggled with this one. Lots of movies have inspired travel wishes, from The Eiger Sanction to Star Wars (I want to visit the Forest Moon of Endor).

I picked "North of Superior", the very first IMAX film.

It was truly awesome on the giant screen at the Cineshpere at Ontario Place in Toronto when it was first released.

The whole film is here:

...but its not much without a 80ft x 60 ft screen (that big, you get the experience of flying).

I did work North of Superior for a short time 40 years ago. The rugged beauty is truly awe-inspiring.
