September Film Challenge 🎬

Day 27: Your favorite superhero film
and one of the best soundtracks
I know this movie gets a bad rap but I really enjoyed it. I read the graphic novel just before it came out. 💖 The television series was amazing.
Yes it is really well written, a little darker and perhaps more “real” than most superhero movies that people want to see

It was definitely evident that it was directed by a woman. The shots she fought to keep in the film, like her thigh shaking when she hit the ground, were the ones I loved most. Many guys I know hated it because it wasn't the Wonder Woman they liked; a pin up girl with huge tits that happened to kick ass. Well, the film wasn't for them, it was for every little girl who wanted to be a warrior, not an object.
I loved it! She is perfect in the the role

Day 28: A film that changed your life
John Hughes is my ALL time favorite writer/director for the genre he wrote.

Living just down the street in Elk Grove Villiage Illinois from where most of his movies were filmed in and around Des Plains Illinois and being a Midwest kid.. He basically told my life story. I could have picked any of his movies.. But this is the one!!

RIP John 😞

Day 28: A film that changed your life
Two guys across the hallway were watching this movie my freshman year. I went in and started watching with them. They ended up being my best friends coming out of college. I just lost one of the four months ago so some melancholy here but also what a Titan of a movie.

Also the Don Homer scene in the Simpsons mimicking Fanuci at the Festa is perfect too.
