Holy crap, I got two recesses (20 minutes) and a lunch (45 minutes) in school.

That’s more like a job schedule. If you work 8 hours and are paid hourly I think those are the breaks you get. In school it was a morning recess, you are snack then and then a lunch. Recess was 20 mins and lunch was 45. You had to sit and eat for the first 10 or 15 mins.
