Hahahahaha! That's sooooo true! I try to be in the room when the docs make rounds. I can tell them things the patient forgot, and I can translate when the docs forget how to speak English. . When the docs are eye candy it just makes my job a little more enjoyable.

Speaking of tearing men up, how goes the recovery, kind Lady of fine sand and surf?

Has plinky-plonkies stopped misfiring in your ticker-tocker? Are you back to making cake-flavored mojitos and mixing things up in the hot tub?

I just got back from the cardiologist's office. He had good news and bad news

The good news is that my heart isn't racing the Daytona 500 anymore. It still goes too fast at times but its more of a jog. It tops out at about 120 now. So that means no more ablations. Woohoo!

The bad news is that the symptoms I've been feeling since the last procedure are from 2nd degree heart block. That's Wenckebach for Ms. Perky. I'm dropping random beats here and there. One of the meds I'm on (Cardizem) can cause 2nd degree AV block so I'm going to stop the cardizem, wear that infernal damned monitor ten more days, and go back to see him again. If it stops on its own, we're good. If it doesn't resolve itself, I will buy myself a shiny new pacemaker.

I'm only 49 yrs old FFS. I'm too damn young for that. Every time something goes wrong with it or if it even needs a battery change, that's another trip to surgery.

I would say that the more drastic measures may be needed, but those are my IV starting and injection giving fingers!

He did say that the fatigue and activity intolerance I've been dealing with lately is mostly attributed to the heart block. So at least there's a good reason I've been feeling like such a wimp. He said the illness I had later didn't help, but it is mostly the heart problem. He said he'd expect me to feel like shit; if anything, he's surprised that I've been able to keep up the pace at work.

He didn't bother trying to tell me to slow down, and I didn't bother telling him I'm practically a vegetable on my days off.
