I really don't think this thread will attract much attention from the Thread Closer Overlords, as it's mostly text. I participate in a word-game thread in the BDSM forum that's approaching 10,000 posts and going strong. My guess is that the mostly-text threads just don't take up anywhere near as much space on the servers as the ones with lots of pictures, and as server space was the issue that prompted all the recent thread closures at 5,000+ posts, I think they'll live on much longer than expected. No need to wheel in the ventilator just yet.
