son of the isolated blurts thread!

Long hot bath, shaved, moisturized head to toe, mani, pedi, and a big glass of wine. Every evening should end like this (well minus the shaving--that would chafe if done every day)

It was indeed. I may have to repeat that tonight.

This has been the longest work day in history. I think it has been a decade since I started this morning.

I will not buy the Buxom Lip Gloss Roulette 15 mini gloss set. I will not order it from the website. I will not pick my 3 free samples, and I will not push that purchase button.

Oh damn.

All her denim comes from the 80s, thank you very much.
Vintage can be very chic. Pmann, you really do need to keep up with the fashion trends. Someone will come and snip off your Versace fairy wings!

Thank goodness, Friday night is here at last! Longest. Week. Ever.

Amen sister. I nearly jumped out the window today. I couldn't take one more second.

I got called shameless in the bar last night. He did buy the beer though. :D

Goodness gracious!

They made Garnate a moderator!?!

Congratulations, sweetie!

bitch.

so i had the good fortune to catch alton brown doing his show in philly saturday night. the show was freaking awesome and a lot of fun.

my wife & i decided to catch dinner at amis, by philly restauranteur marc vetri. a lot of philly foodies drool over vetri's food--plus it was a convenient distance to the venue, the kimmel center.

if you're ever there, i heartily recommend two pastas: the tonnarelli “cacio e pepe” with pecorino and black pepper and the fettuccine with duck bolognese. holy crap. those were fucking fantastic.

Watching the morning news and there are words and phrases like "arctic blast" being thrown around. It's too soon...

Definitely too soon. I had to scrape heavy frost off the windshield this morning. :(
I really dislike winter.

You can come snuggle under the blanket with J and I in the pillow fight. :)

I actually like winter, and I used to love snow. I might actually again now that I live in a place that I don't have to shovel the stuff.

I don't like shovelling, or having to clear the car off (should have parked in the garage, darn it!). I can deal with the cold, although I hate having to write the check to oil man.

Agreed about the oil man. This will be our first winter in the apartment, and the ceilings are really high so I'm concerned. Plus, I have the yearly struggle with my son over who gets to touch the thermostat. He seems to think that since he's the man of the house, he gets to pick the temperature. I'm sure he's saving me money, but my toes are blue.

LOL Go buy yourself some slippers with the money he's saving you! When I'm not home, I set it to 55. When I get home, I set it to 65....occasionally 68 (if the little one complains too much) At bedtime, it's back down to 58-60.

I finally got warmed up today! It took until about 2 in the afternoon though.

Mmmmmm, broccoli, no green beans, no I mean green peppers. :D
