SRP Absence and abandonments.

I think all my writing partners know, so sticking this here just in case anyone else might miss me, that I'm heading to the UK for the summer and our road trip starts this Saturday.

We'll be on the road from 1st to 6th June and should then be 'back' in a somewhat reduced capacity for the duration of the summer. I hope to get to posts in a timely fashion and would also hope for a little time to pop in here and unwind as well...but we'll have to wait and see. The return trip will happen at the start of August but will let people know/remind them of that closer to the time.

This week so far has been insanely busy and I can't see it easing up until we actually get in the car on Saturday night so thought I'd put this up now in case I don't get chance before we leave!

Thank you ladies. Having a baby wasn't really on the agenda, you know, ever. But. Shit happens. We were both surprisingly really okay with it when we found out.

I'm kinda panicky. The old man is concerned he's going to be 54 when the kid turns 18. I'm pissed that's the ONLY thing he's concerned with.

I'm back from vacation. Back to work on Monday.

16 weeks or so and its a boy. A bit early to know the gender, right? We had an amniocentesis done. But. That only confirmed what we saw on the ultrasound. My old man had the biggest stupidest grin. In-utero erection. Who knew.

God damned nosey ass sister-in-law. Anyway.

Very much unplanned and ridiculously unanticipated (considering I was under the impression for the last 12 years I couldn't get pregnant). So. Not entirely sure what it means yet. The old man is flipping shit because 2 months ago he only had 2 more years til his little one went off to college. But hey. We're happy. Shocked. But happy.

This could mean an absence, but to tell you the truth, I don't have a clue...

You'd think I'd have learned that by now. Its been awhile since the universe threw me a curveball this large. Actually I don't think I've ever had a curveball quite this large. Anyway.

I thought that earlier, and he was only out for 15 minutes), but I have now been going for 16 hours of all baby, all the time, and my brain isn't working so well.
