"I don't think for me it has that much to do with if I could be dominated by someone not as smart as me. I don't think I could have a very satisfying relationship with them. I don't mean actual higher IQ, better education or whatever you measure intelligence with. I'd just rather have a partner with similar interests, similar views on the world, similar education.
I want to give an example. When on vacation, many Germans go to different countries, all over the world. And many of them book an all-inclusive hotel wich they never leave, participating in the entertainment provided by the hotel, lying at the beach the whole day, drinking way more than is good for anyone, eating the same food they would at home. I like to stay at a house/apartment/camping site, get to know the countrey I'm staying in. Looking at churches built 1000 years ago, museums, eat local food. Stay at the beach a couple of hours a day.
I am arrogant enough to consider the first kind of vacation something for stupid people. (No offense meant to anyone reading this.) This probably just means that they are uninterested in things that are of high importance to me. But it means that we are incompatible for a relationship."
