Wow! Damn! Where did the time go? Sorry I'm late folks.

Is there any coffee left - ah... don't get up, I'll start another pot.

I went off to check a few things and take care of a couple chores and bingo - it's 6:00 am...

Time frustrates the hell out of me, have I ever mentioned that? Probably have... it really does frustrate me.

Chores, chores today. Arrg... I don't like chores either. Chores and Time are in a conspiracy to hamper my happiness...

The Nick unit got a cat yesterday, or I should say she chose one. She and CJ went to a cat adoption place and met a number of them. And Munchie, short for Munchkin, and Nikki hit it right off. She is 5 and somewhat calm, and homgobulation of breed that has persian in it somewhere along the line. She seems somewhat stunted and is a bit cow hocked. Interesting little bit there. Anyhow, CJ says the cat just settled into Nikki's lap and started purring, and stayed there until moved for Nikki to meet another cat. CJ says Nick's eyes just lit up. It is going to take a couple weeks while they get the cat all tested up and ready to be transferred (a thorough place). That gives Nikki time to get her house ready for her new buddy - she is excited.

Chores always get in the way. I guess that is the price we pay for being responsible adults. We can't just go play anytime. Sucks doesn't it? ;)

Sounds like Munchie knew where her new home was going to be. "I might as well make myself at home on my new lap! What? She hasn't picked me yet? It's okay, she will!! " :catroar:

Coffee tastes good today. Running a tiny bit late and need to get the shower I missed last night. Have a great day Blooze!

Mornin all

I think I will trust Spaz's assessment of the lunch quality and pass right on by as well. ;)

Morning Lady Beamer!

Hope you and everyone else slept well.

Well, speak a little clearer, Spaz. None of us are functioning at peak level yet and a perfectly good BAG LUNCH could have gone to waste! ;)

I'm always awed by how animals employ their instincts to 'adopt' a family. That's more or less how our first dog adopted us... she just sauntered in through the hotel big lobby windows one fine September evening in Crete, it was 1985. She plopped down by our feet, looked up at us through big soulful 3 months old puppy eyes... and that was it, we were hooked.

I'm quite confident that Munchie will be filling Nikki's life with much love, some frustration :catroar: and responsibility... an excellent experience for Nikki... very close to like having a child of her own to look after :)

Evening Chief...Evening family

Just checking in before I tuck myself in...

Did you get all the chores done Chief? Hell honey if you got half of them done call it a good day....truth be told if I get a quarter of them done I'm dam pleased with myself.
When I am getting company I try to go with what I call the "overall view"....if you can walk in the back door and nothing screams "mess"...then your doing OK.
Stock the fridge....have plenty to drink....and you got it covered.....ohhh one more thing make sure you have plenty of TP... ;)

Well a couple of more days of work and then a 3 day week-end ... :catroar:

Ohhhhhhhhhh I plan on getting a whole lot of stuff done....

Good morning late again troops...

Sorry

Running around trying to be efficient today to make up for being a slacker yesterday. I am in procrastinator's hell right now...

:D

Shipping boxes... you're doing good little bit. That sounds so effing organized. It must be all that plotting and planning is doing some good ;)

Rainee... yeah, that is strange. Ms. Audrey settled right in. And it was like, this dude, he's my guy. It is sort of neat to be up in the kitchen - and Audrey will hop in CJ's lap. Then when I return from the kitchen and sit down, she is up and out of there, to get into mine. A one man cat I guess.

I am really rooting for Nikki to realize the gravity of the responcibility. The cat will be hungry if she doesn't feed it, and that sort of thing. I think (hope) it will help with her (Nikki's) personal development.

Morning Blooze, Spaz, Cats and Family!

Seems there is always "something" that is so much more important to do than the stuff one has on their "to do" list (paper or mental). ;)

I hope Nikki learns a lot from her kitty. They are good for the health, mental and physical. Something about a creature that wants nothing more than a good meal and to come be close to you.

 :catroar:

LOL - hey Catz, no need to apologize in here, if no where else, this place is aware that real life gets in the middle of all this sort of thing... ;)

Hey Mav. I find myself trying to be more respectful of that part, the wanting a little affection, and rather than shooing her away, to go ahead and pick her up and scratch ears for a little bit. She always looks so hurt when I brush her off. And it makes me wonder if I don't watch it, I could maybe wound the affection she has for me past healing, and she become aloof...

It also puts me in mind of the times Anne and I put one another off, "Not tonight hon, I really am busy. Sorry."

Too busy for Annie.

Oh, how I wish I had those back...

[:)] $

Well Chief, it's goodbye once again. We are off tomorrow morning for another two weeks. I need to do some last minute ironing and then pack for all of us.
Have a wonderful time, enjoy your visitors.

Maybe so, but remember all the times where both of you had no time for anyone or anything but each other. Where you both were caught up in feeling everything about the other that could be experienced. (you told us about some of those, where you just seemed connected at the soul. Whether you were working your asses off and sweating like pigs or spending a night dancing inside each other!) And I am certain that not all of those were sexual but included all parts of your life together, including those really HOT nights.

You shouldn't have any regrets. :rose:

Oh, I don't. But I do hope that I have learned something along the way as well. You know, about smelling the roses, blooming where you are planted, and not wishing your life away.

I read your post about shipping boxes and that I must be effin organized....

You sure has hell wouldn't say that if you saw the house!!! Good Lord...while i have weeded threw mountains of stuff..there are mountains more to go...everyday when I turn the computer on and see the day my heart leaps a bit....I look around and wonder how the hell I am going to get it all done...

Putting the boxes in the car to take to the post office gave me a real clear picture of how limited space is....Me and the post man are going to be on a first name basis by the time I get done....

Speaking of getting shit done....I need to hit the shower and get my butt in gear...ohhhhhhhhhh my body doesn't want to do anything today..not a thing....but i still need to do that roof over my head and food on the table stuff...

Well, that is what life is about. Doing all those things and learning from the times when you let too much get in the way of that kind of sharing. I know that you have become the good man you are because of all the life lessons you took to heart (although, like most of us, some of them were driven home with you kicking and screaming, figuratively) ;)

It's all good.!

Quick, open your mouth and I will pour it in so you get it faster! ;)

Like the joke with the guy looking out of the picture and standing there with a bra on his head and a pair of panties flying by. "Honey, you sure are cute when you're (having a hissy fit) Mad!"

Good morning, my love. Missed you this morning. Sounds like you needed the extra sleep.
