LOL - hey Catz, no need to apologize in here, if no where else, this place is aware that real life gets in the middle of all this sort of thing... ;)

Hey Mav. I find myself trying to be more respectful of that part, the wanting a little affection, and rather than shooing her away, to go ahead and pick her up and scratch ears for a little bit. She always looks so hurt when I brush her off. And it makes me wonder if I don't watch it, I could maybe wound the affection she has for me past healing, and she become aloof...

It also puts me in mind of the times Anne and I put one another off, "Not tonight hon, I really am busy. Sorry."

Too busy for Annie.

Oh, how I wish I had those back...

[:)] $

Ouch....I think I need some quiet time with hubby tonight too...I won't put it off...thanks hon for the reminder....

Flying out the door, trying to hang on to my Skirt!

Don't think I'll make it home tonight..wedding right after work...

Kisses to All

Drove home from the wedding about a half an hour ago.....I only had one drink when I first got there so I was fine to drive home...A little tired that's all..

Wonderful to see family members some I haven't seen for a few years....My Uncle took me aside and told me that he had never seen me look so good :) I laughed and said that's cause I'm HAPPY....I am happy...yeah things are a little nuts and stressful..but my heart is happy and that shows all over my face..

Wish I could show pictures to you all they are a beautiful couple..but this is about the only picture that doesn't show a face....

We all had a great time..

Too early to put the coffee on and too late for a drink ......so I'm going to tuck myself in and call it a day...catch up with you all tomorrow

Good morning Beam

Good morning everybody! The coffee is cooked and there is still a spot of Rum left...

eh...

Good morning everybody! The coffee is cooked!

Yesterday was fun, sitting around and comparing guitars with Mr and Mrs El! El's a hoot when he is on the trail of a mystery, which the Alvarez 5022 most certainly is. At one time we had 3 of them arranged in the chairs of the living room, and pictures of 8 others that we have gleaned from the pages of eBay. We were running back and forth between the studio and the living room comparing headstocks, soundhole rosettes and what have you. El got so intent on chasing the various things down that he misplaced his glasses and we had to shutdown operations twice to re-locte them.

Anyhow, after a bit we determined that my mystery guitar (the label had been removed) is most likely a 5023 instead, which helped clear the muddled mess of just exactly "what is a 5022" a tiny bit, and it is a plus for me The 5023 seems to be a somewhat more desireable instrument from the collector's viewpoint. If nothing else, eBay appearances indicate they are more rare, something along the lines of 8 to 1 with the 5022, and they seem to command a higher selling price.

And we had a game of guitar Blind Date, pitting the Curlie and Maggie against each other. Gee, mostly cause she is the only one with most of her hearing still intact, was the judge and once again Maggie and a solid rosewood/spruce body won out. El was inclined to give Curlie an honorable mention none-the-less for the bright clarity of the treble notes (bright clarity being a trait of Maple bodied guitars.). He said that most immediately upon hearing the Taylor that it hit him, this is a special guitar.

It was also interesting to see the marked differences a couple years makes between two indentical guitar models when we compared our Ash Festivals. Everything from colour, sound, and setup - unique to the instrument.

Guitars is almost like peeple!

I got lots of peeple in this house... El got the giggles when we hit the second closet filled with the things.

He agreed with me, the master bedroom needs to be turned into a guitar storage room, and repainted so that proper light can be directed toward the instruments for inspection and photo documentation purposes...

So, add in ribs and pulled pork down to Mac's Bar-B-Q and that's the way a couple goofy ole farts can piss away a Saturday. :D

Well, that and getting lost trying to find the In Law's house later on...

I hope everybody's Sunday goes swimmingly...

Beamer, what in the world did R get in to? I hope it isn't serious...

Morning Blooze!

Sounds like you three had a wonderful day, detective story and all. ;)

Seems El has a wee bit of the absent minded perfesser in him, getting so wrapped up in the subject that the little things (like glasses) get overlooked. I would have loved to sit there and listen to the guitar pickin.

Not much of a drinker myself. Not that I don't take a nip from time to time and do enjoy it, but my imbibing is very limited. This is a product of having gone way overboard in all of the times I drank when i was younger. Just got really tired of the day after crash. ;)

I figure we are close enough to you to visit from time to time. And you are welcome here anytime.

Hope you have a great day!:D

lol - sure enough... I think the old fliver can make to KC with about 10 girls in the back seat... :nana:

I know what you are talking about. I had a moment of clarity, standing outside of a Sear's Catalog store, heaving about $35 worth of booze into one of their flower pots after spending an afternoon with a couple ne'er do well mining buddies drinking beer glasses full of tequila and chasing them with shots of beer... actually, we were chasing the shots of beer with tequila.

At anyrate, at sometime during this moment of clarity it occurred to me that this was stupid. It also occurred to me that if I didn't get the hell out of their soon, one of the old biddies that worked the counter in the Sear's store was going come out and start beating me with a broom and hollering at me to "Scat!"

You have a good one too...

Older now...a bit wiser....I have come to learn always the hard way what is important in my life....

Mav and I started talking last October when we had a bad storm here.We talked everyday for months....met the first time in January face to face....LMAO...10 seconds after meeting him I was hooked...the heart just knows....it is when we don't listen to our hearts that we don't take the right path.
So it will be almost a year by the time I get there since we first talked...so far away in distance sometimes....but always he is here with me...for me...

Well now, settle your young self down there little one...

There's a container plumb full of the them little packets of sugar substitutes in the cabinet above the microwave. There is even a history on 'em somewhat, nothing so mundain as we bought those with pennies gleaned from scraping between the cushions of the couch. No ma'am. These are purloined packets. Stolen from the finest eateries in Tulsa and its surrounding townships over the last 20 years.

The love of my life could not help herself. Should she sit down at a restaurant table that had an over-abudance of these little packets, she would grab a handful and throw them in her purse without even so much as a comma's worth of hesitation. Later, when the need to lighten or change purses came along, she would take whatever packets remained in her purse and put them in this jar.

So, this packet of Splenda could be a year old, it could be 20 years old. It could have come from the "choke and puke" just down the road in Hominy, or from "The Charleston" in Tulsa. It is a crap shoot. Good luck.

Or you could consider that the creamer is fairly sweat in itself, and forego the the wander thru the jar of antient sugar baggies...

I am currently tramping back and forth between the computer and my bed... Sunday's seem to always require an extra helping of naps...

Thanks Blooze ...... :rose:

I am ok with no sugar, but that first cup in the morning. :(

Getting sluggishly outta my warm snugly covers and traipsing through the house, to sit on a nice comfy chair. Cut on the pot, start it all up. Smelllllllll that coffee brewing, one could almost taste it, sweet, creamy ... right on the very, teeniest, tiniest tip of my tongue. Yep, that first cup HAS to have a bitta sugar. The rest, who cares, lol
