Good morning everybody! The coffee is cooked. uh, is there any of that strawberries and angel food cake left? Huh, is there? (I hopa hopa hope...)

Sorry I missed yesterday... me and ole Willis had to catch an airplane to Australia and help a young feller get his D Class tournament car in order. Willis? Oh, he's the old fart that lives across the street. He's sort of my racing team's crew chief, mostly cause he knows how to do something with a torque wrench besides crack pecans. Boy I thought he was goin' to skin ole Eph the day he caught Eph bustin' nuts with his brand new Snap On 1/2 drive torque wrench with the clicker in it and the whole nine yards.

So anyhow, me and ole Willis flies to Australia on the kid's ticket and work on his car. We got it pretty close, but that tournament is a tough nut to crack, (sometimes I crack myself up) and I don't think the old Honda has enough ponies to make it.

Here's the car and my final report (down a few posts)...
http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/thread/647832.aspx

So anyhow, after we gets the car tuned and tested, we goes down this pub and knocked back a few brews... you ever seen a Foster's oil can. That is a lot of beer, and down there in Australia it ain't that 3.2 piss we got here in the states. Ole Willis got himself pretty well tuned up as well. Then he gets in a loud "discussion" with this old Aussie guy about how he (Willis) thinks this thing about boxing Kangaroos is a bunch of bullshit. So the old Aussie guy says he has a Wallaby that can box, and is the town champeen. Well, ole Willis gets all huffy and allows that it would certainly be a cold day in hell before some over grown rat could kick his ass. So they made a bet and we took off for this guy's house for a boxing match.

The guy handed Willis some old wore out boxing gloves and Willis took off his shirt (you know, I could have gone the rest of my life and not seen him bare chested and it wouldn't have bothered me a bit. The guy is sort of furry...) anyhow, I have to help him get the gloves on.

Then here comes that Aussie guy with this little sawed off kangaroo that's wearing boxing gloves and looks kind of cute. Willis started carping sayin' he didn't want to be beatin' up on no baby kangaroos. But the Aussie guy insists the thing is full growed and Willis better get ready to defend hisself. So Willis gets in a boxing pose and hops up and down - that was worth the ticket right there - watching Willis trying to dance around like Casius Clay... I damn near busted a gut.

So Willis takes a step in toward the little kangaroo, and the little kangaroo sits back on his tail sort of and up and kicks the hell out of ole Willis with both of its hind feet - right square in the package. End of the boxing match. Willis face kind of gets all pasty white and he lets out a squeal like a girl that just seen a mouse of something and falls over into ball and starts to whimperin like a kitten. Man he was huggin' his nuts so tight it took us near an hour to straighten him out. We finally got him up and walkin' around, he was still pasty faced and walking all bent over like, and he was bitchin' about how the kangaroo cheated.

The Aussie guy wanted his money cause his wallaby kicked Willis' ass and Willis was sayin "like hell" cause the wallaby cheated and should be banned for low blows and such. I thought they was gonna have a brawl over it, but Willis was pretty much done with fighting for the day. They decided to call it a push, and we went on our way.

So, anyway we gets home and I gets to tellin' old Eph about how Willis got his ass kicked by half a kangaroo and we was a rollin' around laughin' about it and ole Willis looked like he was gonna take that fancy torque wrench to both of us, clicker and all. Guess we best let that one lay for awhile until he can see the humor in it.

 $

Morning Blooze.

Sounds like you had a fun trip. Well, everybody but Willis. ;)

I think Beam dropped a little strawberry on her blouse, so there might be a little left. ;)

And I think the Lit folks delight in driving us crazy by movin the friggin smilies around just as we get used to where they are!

Happy Tuesday, Old Man!

I am so far.

Made the leap yesterday to finally dump the DirecTV and AT&T and go with the whole cable based phone and digital TV. I already had cable internet. Big change cause I've had satellite off and on for more than 10 years. The only time I didn't have it was when I did a stint in apartments for about three years.

Get all three for $100. Full boat load of cable. 7 mbps download on internet and free long distance (US, Puerto Rico and Canada)and two free digital boxes and free installation. Added all the pay movie services for $25 ($5 a piece). Not too bad. And no committment. DirecTV was starting to go to that as they upgraded people to HD. "Hey we'll send you the equipment and hook your ass for 2 years. sound okay?" Nah!

Update on R..

The rash is scarlet fever...caused by the same bacteria that caused his strep throat. It is starting to clear up some...doc said in 3 or 4 days it should be gone...and then his skin will start to peel kind of like it does from a sunburn. He is a bit concerned because there is protein and blood in his urine and wants it retested tomorrow by the hospital lab.On occasion strep can damage kidneys so he is closely monitoring the situation. The look on my sons face was kind of priceless when the nurse handed R a couple packages of alcohol wipes and the urine container and then proceeded to tell him EXACTLY in specific detail what he needed to do tomorrow ;) ....the strep test they did today came back negative...he is doing better...his girlfriend is here now so he's smiling....the benedryl tends to make him tired and a bit crabby

I picked up some fresh strawberries, angel food cake, and some whipped cream...want to stop by for dessert?
oooh Not good. I had that when I was younger and it is NOT a good thing. It feels kinda like you're roasting on the inside. It took me about a week of anti-biotics to get over that.

TELL HIS GIRL TO BE CAREFUL AROUND HIM. ITS BEEN A LONGTIME, BUT IF I REMEMBER CORRECTLY THAT STUFF CAN BE CONTAGIOUS!!!!!!

(I still had to go to school with mine though :( )

Aren't doctors fun. They forget that we don't have the training they had and don't realize we aren't comfortable with the talk they give us.

I always know the doctor who is going to talk about my most personal problems because they are always the one wth the most BOOMING voice. They talk to me, the guy in the hallway, the people in the next room, and th people on the other floors at the same time.

You know your right DiJit...what's with that??? If we wanted everyone to know we would stand in the hall and make an announcement!!!

Speaking of announcement..it was one of those good news bad news days..

Bad news.....R needs another surgery to be scheduled in 2 weeks..cyst is back and needs to go :(

Good News....there is a job opening in KC with my company and they will hold the postion open for me till I get there!!!! So it will be as simple as trasferring with no loss of benefits.

"The little twit" aka my district manager called the district manager out there and then the store manager called me. We hit it off instantly...she said I came highly recommended...while the little twit and I butt heads personality wise...she knows I have a strong work ethic and I am a benefit to the store and the company.Relieves a great deal of stress and it will make the adjustment MUCH easier not having to look for a job and do interviews.

I will be here when R has the surgery and that makes both of us feel better..

Well kisses and hugs...time to crank up the fan and turn myself in..

Hang in there kid.

Coffee's cookin'

Damn near pissed my pants getting it goin'...

I hate when that happens.

Me and Audrey had a spat last night. She got all frustrated with me trying to put her down so I could type something and bit the shit out of me. So I smacked her a good one. She just sat there and glowered at me. So I put her out in the garage.

Time out for you little missy...

Yeah, she likes to hang out in the garage. She terrorizes the crickets and stuff out there.

How you doin' Mav?

Doin just fine. Still got a bunch of stuff to do before the lovely Lady gets here. But shouldn't be too much of a problem. Just about to wind down the photshop series I've been doing. Takes a lot of time to put the pictures together. So that should free me up to get the work done. ;)

I am really interested in seeing how that project turns out.

Aren't deadlines a pain. Even the ones we end up creating for ourselves. Sooner or later a task gets assigned a date and time. I spose the trick is to take care of things immediately. I wish I would learn to do that...

I have had to pack my jack and move it to the dining room table.

If I stay in the office, I end up designing cars and racing...

If I stay in the studio, I end up playing the guitar and working on my songs. (I still haven't got the recorder going and that is pathetic.)

But I need to get this damned SSA paper work done (it would help if the questioneer was not TWO multipaged booklets with about a zillion check boxes per page) or the Sarge is gonna have my ass for sure...

And the only way I am going to get it done is to hide my toys, or in this case, hide me from the toys...

I figger if I really get a case of the ass and get after it, I can have them done in about 4 hours.

ick...

Then the two booklets is after the paperwork reduction act. Imagine what it would be like before they reduced it.

Well August is starting out on the right foot :)

About 8:30 I heard a knock on my back door...I was talking to Mav at the time and asked him to stay on the line since I had no idea who it was.Turned out to be the man who came to update my survey on the house.Just wanted me to know so I didn't wonder about some strange man walking around my house and yard.Glad he knocked...I would have been freaked since a minute later he was walking by the window outside my computer room....I would have screamed...Mav probably would have been dialing 911...it could have been a real mess!!!

Now you know Macx if we did things as soon as they should be done...what the hell would we do with the rest of our time???...what would happen to the lists we make????....what would happen to plotting and planning???.....and those nights where we lay in bed tossing and turning cause we keep thinking about all the crap that needs to be done???

Oh Hell then we would be ORGANIZED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Organized is kind of boring and no fun at all...
Watching people fret and run around like chickens with there heads cut off..well now thats REAL LIFE :D

Well off to take a shower and make a dent of some kind in the stuff that needs to be done
