Mom is not getting what she wants, and she is being a fussy little bitch about it. It’s always something with her.


She is being a good lesson for what I do not want to be for my children in my decrepitude

My mom was a passive-agressive/just plain aggressive fussy bitch also. Especially when she didn't get her way. After many years, I learned to tune her out and disregard the bitching/sighing/moaning/whining/kvetching. Ignoring her when she was this way was the best thing for me. She hated it, of course.

And, yes. A blueprint for how NOT to be!

My mother doesn't "get it." It's like she has the emotional development of a spoiled little girl sometimes. Let me tell her something and you can hear her heels dig in over the phone. Then I ask her, "if your way is working so well, then why this latest fuck-up?"


Her father taught me the Get-Her-Done method.

The limited edition is in burled walnut…only making 1854 of them…ugh…my itchy trigger finger! If I suddenly disappear from this forum, y’all will know I pulled the trigger on said purchase and She who must be obeyed will have promptly sent me into the void with said purchase! (it comes in at just under $3900..USD)

Went to the medicine woman yesterday. She put me on a couple of Anti-B’s (one a steroid) to get the evil out of me ears. Two rounds and already feel better. Finally sunshine and feel good. Might just get something done today!

This Medicaid thing and nursing home thing for my mom has been an eye opener. I will one day (I’ll know it when I feel it) just walk into the woods or the ocean.

I will not burden anyone else, nor will i lose my autonomy, freedom and space.

Having said that, I saw my mom late yesterday afternoon and she said she was “perfect”.

This was the week after “the food is terrible” “get me out of here.” Etc

Weird.

I understand this, W! Glad Mom is acclimating.

Good day of work at our farm.

Leveled out ten yards of wood chips a friend of mine dumped while we were away. Built a nice extension “road” from the yard to the woods using the chips.

Rounded some firewood for my farmhand. Cleaned up a bunch of logs, branches and sticks. Cleaned up my firing range. I think I’m gonna shoot tomorrow.

Now just enjoying the imperial early evening. It’s so nice out, fire going, fall flowers in full bloom.
