The AI Rejection Conversation Matters

Jesus, if you don't know how it works, don't try to pretend that you do.
no? my name is actually tomas emma. sorry though, i was wrong. it downloads everything thats ever been on the internet since it was called DARPANET, on magnetic tapes. CIA has an institution right next to the largest router in the world, where all data passes through.

You need to get more fresh air.

Maybe it's time for people to take a deep breath and think happy thoughts (boobies!) before this descends into an unproductive shouting match.

Just thought it was worth pointing out that using AI in an attempt to detect AI submissions is not hypocritical or ironic (although its effectiveness is certainly questionable). As far as I know, Literotica has not espoused any views that AI should never be used anywhere in society. Other types of AI have contributed to ground-breaking work in fields as diverse as protein folding to traffic management. The site has said that it does not want to host content that has been been composed, in whole or in significant part, by an AI 'author', and it's entirely reasonable that they use whatever means they have available in order to attempt to monitor submissions for any such content.
Now, if Laurel starts using an AI concierge to respond to queries and complaints, especially the complaint that she's not responsive enough to messages, that would be ironic. Hilariously so, from my perspective.

Lush and I aren't on speaking terms. They asked me back last year. So I put back up two of the stories I'd had there before, and they rejected them. I asked what had changed; they said, "Nothing." I then asked, "Why'd you reject stories that had been here before?" "Did we?" "Yes," I said. "Rework them and resubmit them." I said, "Don't think so."
Sorry to hear that. I had just decided to try them after multiple rejections here and stories have been getting approved inside 24 hours. Maybe they don't have the audience of LE, but they also don't scrutinize my writing like I'm going after the Nobel prize in literature either.

"And the first of this year's nominees, putting the "knob" in "Nobel"...."

Yeah, Lush has serious flaws.

When I posted the first half of Eldritch Pact, they let it through with the exaggerated diacritics... but then when I tried to post the second half, they rejected it because of the diacritics AND they removed the first half.

I've pretty much broken ties with them

I agree. There are so many fun, enjoyable ways to be unproductive. Why get all shouty about it?

And most of them suck one way or another. There are only a few websites big enough that make it worth publishing free stories, in my opinion. And except for fanfic, Literotica reigns supreme in this group. More players are needed.

It surprises me in a way that there aren't more quality competitors. Over the years I've seen many erotic story sites, but Literotica has been my favorite for a long time and I don't bother much with the others. But competition would be good. It seems like the barriers to entry wouldn't be that high. Imagine if someone had a few million dollars to spend on a site.

Indeed.
What is also surprising is that all the current major players - Lit, SOL, and AO3, while different in their pros and cons, are almost all equally stuck in their ways. I've seen no real innovation or desire to improve from either of them.
I also don't think that starting a new erotic story website would take that much investment. It's not like the new site would get flooded with visitors right away. It takes time to build up the story database and the readership. It also seems that there is a healthy market for something like that.
Weird. 🫤

Like an emoji with boobies? A positive spin on sending a dickpic? I like it!
What did Guys do before we could send pictures? Did they Knock on doors " good evening do you have a wife or daughter. I like to show them something"
