We help them fight just as hard as we do the people who got vaccinated. We help them fight because that is our job.

We can’t choose not to take care of someone just because they don’t share the same beliefs as us.

It’s fundamental to medicine not to wish illness on anyone. Ever.

Darwin then comes into play, it is interesting to now read people who were originally deniers, after contracting C19, being supporters of vaccination and basic protocols, sanitisers and masks.

I am unclear on what you mean by "Darwin" here, but people often invoke his name to support positions that boil down to eugenics - the idea that we should allow/encourage "weak" people to die off. (Not a position that Darwin actually advocated AFAIK; there's a big difference between "this is how nature works" and "this is what humans should choose". But people love to attach famous names to their own ideas.)

When somebody says "Darwin was right" in this kind of context, they're probably not making a statement about how environmental factors influence the shapes of finches' beaks. More usually it's a fancy way of saying "the human race would be better if we let 'weak' people die", which is the doctrine of eugenics. Hence the vehement pushback you're getting.

If that is not what you meant, perhaps it'd be helpful to quote what part of Darwin's writings you're actually referring to.

FYI Ontario is vaccinated children as young as 12 with Pfizer for at least 2 months, maybe 3. They're pushing for all of our children 12 and over to be fully vaccinated before the start of school in September. If the Americans haven't approved it yet, that's interesting.

My work is entertaining the idea of monthly testing. I think that is such a waste of resources and proves nothing. And besides, we're all vaccinated.
Theoretically, I have a test one day and get exposed the next so what did yesterday's test do for anyone?

We have lots of cases right now and it is rising. I'm worried about kids and the impact. I'm vaccinated but I'm still wearing a mask.

I don't like that so many people are so unconcerned. I can understand the idea of letting the unvaccinated people that take zero precautions infect one another except they don't live in a bubble. They come in contact with people who are immunocompromised and children that can't receive the vaccine and pretty much everyone. They may not be hanging out with vaccinated people or people that take precautions but they are at work, the store, etc. I just want people to care about others.

I am tired

I recently stopped doing one of my volunteer jobs. I felt that it was getting too dangerous for me to be around some of the coworkers that were non believers in the existance of Covid. I was the only one wearing a mask, I was the only one keeping distance. I endured constant rude comments about about how I was believing the Covid lies on the news.
Two weeks ago the complete group (and their families) came down with covid. At first they even denied that they had Covid, just claimed they had colds untill they got so sick some of them had hospital visits.
Yesterday I was in a grocery store and over heard some other customers saying they were through with wearing masks and if their kids had to wear masks at school, that they would pull there kids out of school. One said "not just no masks, but Hell no masks".
It is going to be a long, long time before this is over. Probably we are looking at a new reality that we will not go back to the "before".

C19 has 30,000 blocks currently 20 of those blocks are active and of those, until delta only 2 were active, with delta there are now 3. Do you know why fara? I expect not. Take your faux outrage, and brambelthon and meekme, take a hike, this has another 18-24 moths to run until we get balance.

Delta has been deconstructed, it is scary, depending on how it evolves, it can be 600 times more infectious.

Eventually what the majority of the population will do is get vaccinated, that is the norm and the right thing to do.

The remainder will leave it to a higher risk profile.

Exactly, the push to get vaccines out to countries has to be accelerated. 50% of the USA population is fully vaccinated. But delta, with it's mutation is pushing down into the under 50's. That is what was expected.

Yes, some are unable to be vaccinated, so more resources can be provided to those people, provided the majority of other people are vaccinated.

Simply show them photos during the Spanish flu. Everyone was told to wear masks. All mass events were canceled., movie theaters, Sunday church. It raged for 3 years and lingered another 2. They did not have a vaccine at that time.

ETA: As somebody who's completed a university-level genetics course, and after getting a night's sleep and thinking it over, I still can't figure out what you're talking about with these "blocks". From the number of "30,000" I'd guess this is meant to mean RNA bases, but I have no idea what you mean by saying "currently 20 of those blocks are active" but also "with delta there are now 3".

So anyway, I’m pretty fuckin’ pissed off because schools are opening and Ron Deathsentence is pretty much trying to kill people by banning mask mandates in schools. We’ve really come so far to have actual comic book villains for politicians.

School is going to be a lot.
