The "Fuck you Covid19" thread

Got the message today mandatory vax for my workplace.

One guy walked out, no notice, no comment. Just left. We didn't even realize it at first. We wear a uniform -- we figured it out the guy walked out when someone from another department brought us part of the guy's uniform, found in the garbage.

People like that are frightening...their anger festers...

Pfizer booster shots are in our very near future , yes 👍👏👏👏👏 , the first round wasn’t that bad. Fatigue for a couple of days after the second one but that’s all.

Hoping the booster effects are the same ( Minimal) if at all.

Fuck you covid

I'm low key pissed that I had the J&J.

you mean biontech from mainz germany as pfizer is only helping through a cooperation with the logistics as far as i know

I really don’t know , Mrs FF is medical personal front line and we trust the hospital in what they choose in the beginning. We got the Pfizer shots in the first round , her Dec. 2020 , me in April 2021. They have been wonderful to their employees as far as communication and doing their best to keep everyone safe. As far as what labs they source from I haven’t a clue.

When I saw that announcement on the news this morning I was feeling much better about her having to deal with the situation at work and the large amount of unvaxxed patient load she has to deal with daily. Covid and everyday non covid patients.

Being a MRI tech and not a nurse does lessen the risk factor for her , but still a hospital at this time is a lot scarier place to work then it used to be.

Talc.
Yes.
They’ve also had a billion successes.
In my mind, the jury is out on them. I would have taken (and did take) the first available vaccine. Which was Moderna.

Turns out, lots of juries are still out. Lots and lots.

I got Moderna.

Same here. First shot just a mildly sore arm, second shot knocked me out for a day and then I was up on my feet the next morning.

Vaccine politics here are ridiculous - people are getting hung up on 1% differences between the options (Pfizer, AZ) and choosing to wait unknown months for the "better" vaccine rather than taking the one that's actually available in their age group. Which is how we now have outbreaks after previously managing to eradicate covid within Australia - delta is far more infectious so lockdowns probably can't get us back to zero, and now we're scrambling to catch up on vaccinations. For most of us the best one is the one that's in your arm.

My close friend got Covid just recently. They had J&J. They were hospitalized. Not a high risk person, health wise. The rest of their family got Moderna, and so far have been okay.

Does J&J recommend a booster?

Not yet. And I can't mix and match (yet).

I'm still considered immunocompromised so I'm just sitting on the couch for the next year 🤬

I’m so sorry. I wish I could do something. We are all hanging on by a thread. Right now, I have a good grip. That can change.
If you ever just want to vent, my box is open.
(That’s what she said!)

Thanks 🥰

I'm ok with it. I feel blessed beyond measure to have this option, really.

Pandemics suck. It will end.

But seriously, I just saw the news about peeps taking ivermectin.
We're gonna have some dead folks here.

We need to stop calling it an antiparasitic and start calling it a neurotoxin.

Our hospitals are barely holding on. This is going to push us over the edge 🥺

The children’s hospitals here are overrun with RSV and flu as well as Covid. It all lay dormant, waiting for hosts.
Viruses are so much smarter than us.

Same. I just had a baby, so we're all four just hanging at home. Her sister ended up in the ER with RSV at this age and I'm just not interested in taking any chances.

Fuck covid!

We have a lot of RSV here right now. It’s much earlier in the year than what is normal here, so a lot of discussion about the reasons for that.

1 in 500 people in the US have now died of Covid.
My local hospital system has 91 covid patients in the ICU.
It's up to a 5 day wait to be seen in the ER.
Idaho patients are flooding Eastern WA hospitals.

I am so fucking tired.
My ICU nurse friends tell me the floor is covid hell.

Fuck covid.

💔💔💔💔💔

I left the workforce. I hate this all so much. I want to be doing more and also can't right now.

Fuck covid!

Our local hospitals started renting coolers for the dead. I haven’t been keeping up with the news as much lately but it’s obvious there’s a large portion of the population not taking any precautions when I venture out for needed medical services. If I didn’t require these services I wouldn’t leave my home at all.

I’m too tired to curse anything right now.

This morning some rando called my church office asking about religious exemptions for vaccinations. I told him politely, but firmly, that there's no theological or historical basis in our denomination for exemptions, and even if there were, I still wouldn't offer them. He loudly and colorfully did not like that answer.

Are they asking for religious exemption because of fetal testing?

You should tell them about all the other medicines that use fetal testing like ivermectin, acetaminophen, tums, preparation H... It really does hurt their feelings.

I just came from my dermatologist...not a mask in sight, save the one I was wearing. My doc said, "You don't need the mask." "Yes I do." "No, really, you don't. You can't believe everything they've been telling you. Let me show you some things to read." "No thanks, Doc. I'll pass."

I should have walked out right then. JFC.

* He's not vaccinated, btw.

They did mention fetal testing.
Actually, no. They said there's fetal cells in the vaccine (which is wrong).
They also said that prayer and following the Ten Commandments is protection enough.

Shitty theology kills.

Wifey-poo and I are just getting over COVID after visiting relatives and mingling with some un-vaccinated folk. We did not know that at the time. Shame on us. Hit us like a severe cold and we are grateful we were both fully vaccinated. On another note, a friend of friend is an anti-vaxer and currently in ICU with COVID fighting for his life. Better him than me.

Ron White said, "You can't fix stupid." You sure can kill it though.

Wow... I just can't even comprehend this attitude from a doctor

If you’re in the US you can report them to the state medical board
