The Harris Voter

I am quickly coming to understand by the hostility of some of the posts...,

~that~

... despite her obvious lead and overwhelming qualifications, there seems to be a lingering "Clinton Effect" over the Trump "theft" of the election.

Hey, Vice-President Harris voters,

I think I have you sorted out:

The Ideology Voter – Abortion or Socialism. Abortion is waning as the central tenet and slowly being replace by Socialism, e.g., it takes a village, always clothed in the comforting wool of, I’m the government, and I’m here to help you…
The Identity Voter – We are Democrats. They’re for the working man, (What I heard growing up in my formative years) people like us (people who never went to college, ours was the first generation), remember how FDR saved us.
Unfortunately, they are not for the working man now, their milieu is the rich, powerful and influential [expand]. The working man class is being replaced bu AI and outsourced to State slave labor.
The Pop Culture Voter – I’m young and (still in the process of being) educated (I just don’t know yet that your education begins when they hand you your diploma [you’ve just been hiding from your education, sheltering in place some people never leave: The Glass Bead Game]).
~~ OR ~~
I’m one of the cool kids, still, at 30, in my 30s, okay, late 30s, honestly, pushing 40, but I’m still hip, cool swinging (and to prove it, I post at Lit)
The I Hate Him Voter – The Liz Cheney/Hillary Clinton voter. Hate is driven by envy.
The Value Voter – What’s in it for me? (The ask what your country can do for you Democrat)
The Envy Voter – I want what he has (Kill Igor’s Goat) https://forum.literotica.com/threads/igors-goat.1617370/
What value does any other candidate bring to the table?

You spend a lot of time creating these dumb colorful threads only to be laughed at.

Example: Trump brings experience at the job.
Counterpoint: Vice-President Harris has experience as the understudy.

What about the Harris voter for Christian values?

Yeah it will take more logic and honesty and reason than you probably have but it's there.

Republicans like to pretend they are the party of Jesus and the Bible, but it's only because for forty years they have been dumb enough to believe it's only about abortion and gay marriage.

But there is a lot more about Christian values than just those two.

Caring for creation/ the environment? Not Trump/the GOP's thing at all

Caring for the poor (or even the middle class)? Again, a big no for Trump/GOP.

Caring about all people with things like health care and education?

Treating others with love and kindness?

Welcoming and caring for the immigrant? Ha ha ha.

And even the two the GOP wants to embrace don't really work.

There is nothing about gay marriage in the Bible. There are a few vague verses that are really about pedofilia which are misinterpreted and then stretched well beyond that to pretend they are protecting marriages - all while the GOP promotes hate and leads the country in abusive and unfaithful marriages. And has the poster boy for that running for president.

There is also nothing about abortion in the Bible. Again, a few verses about the protection and cherishing of life that get stretched to include the unborn. And that's fine, but again if you want to value that then it's not just about abortion. It's about not going to war. It's about health care. It's about the death penalty. And it's 100% about guns. So if you value human life, which is the only way to include abortion as a biblical tenet, then you have to include all the rest. And Trump and the GOP fail miserably on this one

So there you go - another type of Harris voter. The Christian who actually is honest and accurate about the Bible and the teachings of Jesus and the two candidates and the two parties.

I apologize, that was not meant for you.
But AJ ended up taking your misfired nut blast to the chin anyway.

If you were looking for a new friend or an ally, you're about to learn just how fickle he really is, Puddin' Pop. ;)

I mean, how long was this thread at the bottom of the river since this past Wednesday until your crab trawler hoisted it back up to the surface?

How about the "Never Trump" because he fucking reminded me of why I've been "Never Trump" lately Harris voter, which is me? I'm no fan of hers or of Biden, wasn't last time, but as long as the Donald continues to be the nominee, and as long as he keeps reminding me of my conviction that he's senile (to be fair, I also think that of Biden these days, but I've thought that about Trump for a good while now), I don't have a practical alternative. I've even considered Chase Oliver, the Libertarian candidate, lately, but no, I can't chance a deranged Donald Trump getting his fingers on the nuclear button. Mental impairment is not a joke and it's not a game where you can take risks, calculated or otherwise. Trump's the classic "man who shouldn't be allowed to play with matches" guy. He's done wonders at reminding me lately, as perhaps distance from the situation allowed me to think that maybe I had misjudged him a little. Nope. He's still a nutjob. He's still senile, only worse now. Take a long look at his face and listen to his actual words. They aren't the words of a lucid, rational human being. They're the words of a raving lunatic. Harris may be a lot of things that I don't much like, but as low of a bar as it is, she's sane. Apparently, that's the best offer I'm going to get this time around.

Whew. That's a lot, but ya know what - I'm not gonna complain. Nope, not gonna.

Welcome aboard!

Thanks. I just don't want to elect crazy. That seems like an obvious position to take.

I think SevMax summed it up here for me, but I would add...

...yes, Harris is the best option, and the lesser of two evils.

but on another level, I have two young relatives, one of them barely in her teens.
I don't want them to grow up in a country that treats her as little more than common breeding stock.
I don't want them growing up in a country where not only do they have less freedoms than we did, but where more and more of their freedoms are taken away every day.
I don't want them growing up in a country where hatred and bigotry are the norm rather than the exception.

This is what will happen if Trump is elected.

I want them to grow up in a country where clean air, clean water, and a healthy food supply are a given and not a privelege.
I want them to grow up in a country where there is a good education system and a good health care system.
I want them to grow up in a country where wrongdoers are held accountable for thier crimes- regardless of which political party they belong to.
I want them to grow up in a country where people have the right to vote, and voting results aren't simply overturned if they aren't favorable to the one party.

This is what will NOT happen if Trump is elected.

So, I will do every thing possible to see to it that Trump never holds office in America ever again. Even if it means voting for Harris.

Trumptard voters support rape and sexual assault ( especially on their adopted children)
Trumptard voters are angry old men who post memes and are cat ladies.
The MAGA NAZI would like to fuck his own daughter.

I'm not a Christian.
I'm not a MAGA.

Thank you for your contribution. You should have started a thread since your marginally angry (the Left is always so pissed [see Igor's goat]) go to rebuttal was the fallacy that can be summed up as "Oh, but what about..." and "Oh, hey, look over there..."

Now, back to the Vice-President and her coronation.

Will the drapes be a solid, or a pattern, and which guy will she hire to decorate since she needs a man...

[as posted elsewhere]

Hari Seldon (as channeled by Isaac Asimov) was right, you cannot stop mass individuals, which is where the shooter made his mistake, a person is not a culmination, a person is but a symbol. Taking out Trump does not stop MAGA. MAGA is an upwelling, but MAGA is about to be defeated by the other America.

The younger America, the America brought up in a sea of rapid technological changes and a newer cultural Mass Movement (Eric Hoffer) is underway in which youth looks fondly away (Xenophobia: Roger Scruton) from the myth of rugged individualism to the actuality of Socialism which offers them the two things that mean the most to them and offers the one thing that they want the most and the former is Universal Health Care and Abortion on Demand the latter is being relieved responsibility.

That wave, that Mass Movement cannot be defeated, it is waves lapping upon the shore during an incoming tide and MAGA is riding an ebbing flow; its generations not long for the world and speaking of not long fo the world...,

It is very, very possible that Jimmy Carter is going to give Vice-President Harris her Wellstone Moment and push her over the top.

She's needed a man to get her through her "glass ceilings."

Her husband sure seems to need a woman...
