Spent a long weekend in Indianapolis... That was enough. Can't say I hated it, we had a good time. Hopfully, I'll never be back. It's like seeing the world's largest frying pan or the biggest popcorn ball (which we did), once was more than enough.

My partner's parent company is in Idianapolis and so far we've been lucky enough to avoid a trip there. Mind you...the world's largest popcorn ball?! How do they keep it fresh? Might just have to go to and see it for myself.

most of it missed us, we just got a couple of days of not even heavy rain and 2 trees down on the fenceline but away from the buildings. Didn't even seem that windy, to be honest so the trees were a surprise.

when not busy doing other things, i spend most my time at Lit over on the politics board and H is either outside or busy saving the world with his game... we've also been binge-watching a few things. Got a 10 week-old kitten called Digit so now we're up to 3 indoor/outdoor cats and 2 outdoor only ones. It is enough.

ha, it's his fault anyway... the 2 outdoorsers were his mum's, the fixed male in/outer was a joint effort as he was a stray we took in, but the queen was one H brought home as a littl'un and he didn't want her fixed... after 3 years she's got the baby. He handles it like most men do... wants to play with them but doesn't clean up any mess they make

It's not edible. At least I didn't try to eat it. It's in a glass building, and it's more of a popcorn mound than a ball. It's dumb things to do in Iowa. The frying pan was a disappointment. Like a large sign, more than a pan. In fact, they both have some obscure reason why they are the "worlds largest". Bunch of shit, there are bigger and better elsewhere in the world, but they cling to the moniker. We also saw "the world's largest drum".. It not. But the Perdue marching bad claims it is.

We did a small tour of the Indianapolis motor speedway. That was actually impressive... I'm not much into racing, but it was cool. All in all, we saw 3 of the world's largest somethings, none of them were. But its the shit the wife and I do, since we no longer drink or party.. We have become very old...

spent some quality time outdoors yesterday in the fresh air and sunshine, cutting off all the small stuff of the tree that came down... it was actually two-thirds of a tree but the two pieces that came down were split off the remaining trunk)

using loppers, i've got the bulk of it done and plan on finishing it today ready for the chainsaws to get busy. Huge piles of the brush stuff to cart away for the burn pile!
