Maybe we need a hard-core AH Veteran's Board for those of us with Post-Pornographic Stress Disorder?

Ah, old peoples false memories of the good old days… fortunately Alzheimer’s soon follows…

At least most of you have given up submitting stories to the site – all we have to put up with is your posts…

Poor scouries, he wasn't invited the the AH/Lit reunion thread. Most were here before him and most have him on ignore so they wouldn't have known if he was there or not.

He has met none of them and has not spoken, other than to ridicule almost all of them. He turns his nose up and scorns most of them as being the reason he could never win a contest. Most of them have been gone off and on for a while now and scouries still can't win a contest.

Maybe he should learn to write.

mail for the boss...

Here are just a few of the e-mails the boss woke up to yesterday. As always he'd like to thank all his readers, both new and old, for their wonderful support.

I've never commented on a story I’ve read here before. So you can consider yourself honoured in that respect. I was only going to read for a few minutes as I was tired but the style, the characters and the whole scene setting captured me and I could not let go. The piece was first class in so many respects. The end was not what i expected but it was a perfect touch to what you made seem like so natural a scenario. Well done on this piece of work. I will read more of your works now.

Title:

Thank you for the romantic touches...

Comments:

Jim, I really enjoyed this story. It's the first one of yours that I've read. I saw some of the very negative comments by recent viewers and I thought they were off base. I do not personally believe in incest...but there is something to be said for the element of the forbidden, coupled with the very tender and romantic style in which you tell this story. I can appreciate the story for the forbidden fantasy that it is, with no desire to ever live out the fantasy. I would hope that narrow minded individuals would have the sense not to subject themselves to material that makes them uncomfortable. I loved the story and plan to read more of your work. I gave this story 5 stars!

This reads like a roll of honor of some of the Greats in the Pantheon of Literotica. Almost all are writers of great talent and I would advise anyone who hasn't read them to try whatever they still have on the site - they are worth reading.

In his embittered jealousy of never winning anything scouries has overlooked other super writers who have cut their teeth on lit, both developing their talent, winning countless awards and also playing their part in contributing to the unique success Lit has had in the field of online erotic writing.

Those of you joining this site who wonder why you struggle to get critical yet positive responses on this forum need only look at the poisonous jellyfish that float in the water here trying to sabotage any comment.

BECAUSE OF THEIR INADEQUACIES IN WRITING POPULAR EROTIC FICTION.

Unfortunately miss o you’re becoming less and less relevant as you grow older. Bitterness seems to be replacing honesty in your posts…

You describe these has-beens and non-writers as “modest” among other accolades… The boss only posted on the “old folks” thread because of the following post by the doc:

image.php
All things evolve, I guess, but there's been some definite quantum drop in thread quality and content.

It would be hard to interpret this post as “modest”! In fact it’s insulting to all the new talent that LITEROTICA continues to attract. It’s the way the old timers in AHland have acted since the boss joined the site years ago – the old “we’re better than you” and “do it our way or else” crap that they’ve always welcomed newcomers with .

Well my dear that may work for a while but not forever. And it doesn’t work when these “brilliant old timers” aren’t producing any new work for the site. It’s they who might be accurately called “poisonous jellyfish”!

As to the STORY FEEDBACK forum you continue to ignore the fact that james r scouries has done more to promote feedback for our authors than any other person associated with LITEROTICA.

He encourages his readers to send him feedback – either through votes or emails or through the public comment system. He also encourages readers to comment on other authors stories.

And the proof is in the pudding my dear: the boss has more 1000+ comment stories than any author on the site. And he has the #1 and #2 MOST COMMENTS and MOST VOTES received stories on the site.

And the 100+ COMMENT thread and the 1000+ VOTE thread are the most popular “feedback” threads in the STORY FEEDBACK forum.

And while the boss leads this forum upward what do you do? Carp and complain. Insult authors. Pontificate on things you know nothing about.

And yet my dear, even though you’re old and don’t submit any stories to the site, change is possible. You could be a better person! So why not join all of us at ScouriesWorld in trying to make the STORY FEEDBACK forum a better place.

scouries, don't you realise that Eliot Mabeuse meant YOU when he made a valid criticism of declining standards??

The site has always attracted new talent and before you poisoned the waters of this forum the advice given to new writers was prolific and useful. You and you alone, have destroyed something wonderful by your arrogant, ignorant and egotistical ranting. Your ego won't let you see the damage you are doing to free speech and the promotion of erotic writing that this site promotes.

You are a neaderthal with psychotic problems who is entirely responsible for DR M's complaint about lowering standards - you have.

Poor scouries. The more he runs the really good writers on this site down, the more people realize he is just an egotistical hack. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

For those that don't know Dr.Mabeuse has several award winning novels out in the real world. No wonder scouries hates him and the others on his above list. The majority of the people on that list are published or have real accomplishment that have bettered lit. All scouries has is an out of control ego that is more destructive than anything.

Like I said, poor scouries, he has missed out on a lot of good, knowledgeable, friendly people. His lose.

Yep, that sure looks like authorly/writing discussions and intelligent discussions. Any moron can copy and paste the link to a picture, as you've proved, time and time again, scouries.

Got anything INTELLIGENT OR AUTHORLY (that's not even a word) to discuss?

No, I didn't think you did.

No surprise – they’re all later chapters of stories started long ago.

3 more winners came from NON HUMAN and another came from GAY. Of the 30 “Monthly Winners” announced so far for 2010 we have 10 Non Human/Sci Fi winners, 7 from the Romance category and 4 Gay stories.

That’s SEVENTY PERCENT of the winners!!!!

While I agee that it is a bit much to see two stories from the same category win in the same month it is hard to argue with Just the six of us 14

813 votes and a 4.85 rating. Granted skewed because it isa chapter series and at 14 down to the regulars but to have 800+ votes at #14 is pretty damn impressive.

These results are reader based--and there's no control over what readers choose to read here.

The surprise is that more incest doesn't win these things.

Incest doesn't win often because the majority of the readers are anonymous and don't even vote they all but hide underneath the covers when they read it.

Readers of most categories here don't vote. I have readers who take the time to e-mail me, but haven't taken the time to click a vote button.

Boy, you hit the nail right on the head. That is absolutely the reason.

I wish incest readers realized that it's just story. The fact that they can't even vote speaks volumes about the guilt they feel reading incest stories.

It's bad enough that 99% don't vote and worse that far less than that comment.

Anyone who writes a story here writes because they must write and certainly not for scores, feedback, and/or to win a contest.

What has helped me get more votes than I did before is to remind readers that this is a contest story and to please vote, above the title. Then, I thank them for voting, at the end of the story. You'd be surprised how well those two lines work.

I have never solicited feedback or votes but after my last chapter which was 12 lit pages and took me over a month to write and wrapped up three story arcs got less votes and comments than ant of my recent ones I put a note in the story I just submitted.

I basically said that the only payment we receive here is through votes comments and feed backs so please if you took the time to read please take the extra two seconds to click on a vote. We'll see if that does anything.
