Yes I'd like to thank the readers of my latest bestseller for the support they've shown me over the last few days.

Their designation of me as one of their "favorited authors" (over one hundred did so this weeek) has allowed me to vault into third place on the MOST FAVORITE AUTHOR list.

And yes in the coming days and weeks I may fall back again (due to the lower number of my submissions). But I do appreciate the warmth you've all shown me.

What I can't understand is why a commercial Web site like this doesn't just zero out his story and forum file--

ace and I have nothing in common .

I’m of the people. A preppie elitist, he believes he’s better than anyone else.

I believe the reader is right – he believes the reader isn’t important. In fact he has great disdain for our readership.

He wants his stories to be judged by only people he considers his peers (in his opinion a very, very limited field). In secret. For my part I’m quite happy to accept our reader’s judgment.

I believe authors, when dealing with the site’s owners, should be forthright and honest. That they shouldn’t be afraid to point out problems or suggest changes. He, whenever one of his colleagues complains about any aspect of the site, simply replies, ‘if you don’t like it get lost!’.

I fought to have the score of every story shown on the authors home page. He fought against full disclosure. The site eventually agreed with me.

I fought for more information re vote totals and views. For more transparency. He was against it. The site eventually introduced the 30 day and the 12 month lists.

I fought against having the all time highest rated stories being based on only a minimum of 10 votes. Not ace. The site agreed with me.

I’ve fought for more timely announcing of monthly contest winners. He didn’t. And while much still needs to be done in this area the QUEEN has made some tentative first steps in the right direction.

And those are just a few of the changes the thoughtful views of ScouriesWorld have begot. There are many more in the works...

He is rude, hated by many, and he scares away more newbies in one week that I do in one year.

His greatest problem with me is simply this – he’s jealous! I outsell him. Get more votes. More comments. I’m favorited by thousands. He’s not. Instead of trying to improve, of trying to learn the secrets of being a popular author, he attacks those like me who are.

Who would you ”zero out” if you ran a commercial web site? The person whose stories attract two or three thousand views. Who has never had a 200 vote story let alone a 1000 vote one. Who has no drawing power. Who continually insults newbies.

Or would it be the person who is now the 3RD MOST FAVORITE AUTHOR on the site? Who has written 30 – 1000 vote stories. Forty bestsellers. Has the two most commented on, and the two most voted on stories on the site. Who has the most read new story over the last 12 months as well as the most read old story over the last 12 months.

Would it be the person who’s always fought change or the person who’s championed change?

Would it be the person who spends his life posting on the AH, SF and Editor forums of LITEROTICA (a backwater of perhaps 50-100 people (many nattering old fossils like himself) or the author who’s helping to attract and satisfy the millions of readers who come to the site every month?

Perhaps ace, having spent his life in government service, doesn’t understand the word “commercial”?​

I haven't taken any of the positions Scouries charged me with it. Apparently you didn't get that part of his little joke.

And who are you to make demands on other posters? You haven't contributed anything to the story file for five years and even then it was an essay on bra sizes.

Despite scouries' claims to the contrary, there was virtually no resistance to such proposals, and he was hardly the first to bring it up.

Everything in his post is a gross exaggeration, misrepresentation, or bald-faced lie -- as usual.

He doesn't comment on your offensive rudeness, brusqueness - your single-handed (no,with the help of scouries) destruction of story feedback. You hide behind the figleaf of arcane discussions on voting (not a relevant topic for story feedback) to conceal the egregious sins you have committed.

Your departure from this site would be a huge loss and is the last thing I want.

Just how we get you housetrained to stop biting the ankles (and softer parts) of the newbies is more the concern.

You're right usually the first time it is a straight answer. But get it right, he does not get snippy if there is an argument he gets snippy when some one has the audacity to express a different opinion, or not genuflect before his presence.

I hear what you say but it's not altogether factual.

sr often pontificates without reading the story - indeed, he often boasts he doesn't read stories here. The debate would be better taken to the AH rather than Story Feedback - as would your run-in with scouries - however valid your criticisms.

Going back over years, I wish you macho types would take your boys' toys to the AH forum or og's contest thread. This should be a placid place and it has been sullied.

I’ve been so busy on the LITEROTICA/A.I.R. contest scene the last little while that I’d missed ace’s and db’s response to my post here. Neither addresses the issue they both raised about why a commercial site would prefer me to them.

Instead we got a little cutesy reply from ace (along with an attack on another poster) and we got the following crap from db. Neither was willing to answer the challenge I clearly laid out and which I’ll repost again.

The problem with these two is that as soon as the real facts appear, they disappear. When the hard questions are posed they slink away.​

Hmmm. This seems to be addressed to me, but it couldn't be. Because I do have stories with more than 200 votes--and in far more categories than Scouries has stories in--and I don't insult newbies--I provide them straightforward help until/unless they bite the hand helping them (not to mention that Scouries doesn't provide help to anyone but himself here). Also, I have championed as much change as Scouries has--and some of the change has been supported by both of us--often because he stole some of the positons from me. And I participate in far more forums here than Scouries harrasses--especially that one up there announcing members' marketplace books. Someplace Scouries has had no reason to visit.

And mostly this couldn't be me because Scouries has me on ignore, so he couldn't possibly be checking up on any of my activity.

Yes, I do understand "commercial" and covered that in my wondering why the Web site didn't counter your undermining of their commercial position simply by wiping out all your crap.

If you understood "commercial" and erotica you'd being trying to sell your stories in the real world rather than pretend they are selling here. (Of course you probably have correctly assessed your potential for selling your stories in the real world for real money.)
