You are sooooooo fine!

And say hello to the lovely young belgium, the innocent yet delightfully alluring, vioan.

vioan, mom and sis display their waffles on the beach at Oostende …

I can’t wait for the opportunity to be the cream in your non-human oreo cookie… do they have Belgium oreos?

You can have the World Series!

We’re building a new ballpark in Miami… and my money is helping to build it. LITEROTICA royalties helping to build a ball park! Imagine! Why the people of Miami have to give hundreds of millions of dollars to a billionaire art dealer (read crook) is beyond me!

So is this ballpark going to be in a new version of Monopoly? Just asking because about all you can build with Monopoly money is little plastic buildings that fit on a game board. :D

Gentlemen (?), How can you fill you minds with trivia when the Cardinals are just about to destroy the Rangers.

As a clinically depressed Mets fan I always take the more nortern team.

I lost all interest in baseball when the Rangers beat the Tigers. :(

I looked in the football standings and I couldn't find the Miami Dolphins listed anywhere. Then I looked at your thread and there was no mention, not one word, of the Miami Dolphins, in the way that you used to brag about them before, when they won a game.

Have they disbanded the team? Are the Miami Dolphins no longer playing football? What's the scoop Scouries?

Then, when I looked further down the standing, all the way down to the bottom actually, there they were...Miami zero wins and six losses. Wow, what a disgrace. I'm so very embarrassed for you and for your team.

I guess the reason why I didn't see Miami right away was because I'm used to looking at the top of the standings, where the New England Patriots are with a 5 wins and 1 loss record.

That's a shame that Miami is not doing so well. Knowing the big football fan you are, knowing how much you love your team, you have my sympathy.

Perhaps, the Dolphins should have their cheerleaders play football and have their football players dress up in those little outfits. I betcha, after one week of that, with the fear of having to wear a cheerleaders outfit again, that team may turn around. Then, again, those Dolphin football players may enjoy dressing up as a girl, since they've been playing like girls.

"Better luck next year, Scouries."

Unfortunately the team is now owned by a fucking accountant if you can believe it! What chance do we have???

Stephen M. Ross an American real estate magnate. He owns 95% of the Miami Dolphins NFL football franchise and 95% of Sun Life Stadium. The University of Michigan renamed its business school Ross School of Business in his honor after receiving a $100 million endowment.

Ross graduated from Miami Beach Senior High and attended the University of Florida. Later he earned his degree in accounting in 1962 from the University of Michigan Business School, a Juris Doctor from the Wayne State School of Law in 1965. He earned an LL.M. degree in Taxation from the New York University School of Law (1966)

He began his career as a tax attorney at Coopers & Lybrand in Detroit, where he was born and raised as a child, and went on to become assistant vice president in the real estate subsidiary of Laird Inc. and in the corporate finance department of Bear Stearns, both in New York City.

As of 2011 his estimated net worth according to Forbes is $3.1 billion, down from previous years. Ross is said to be building a theme park across the street from Sun Life Stadium

And I bet it just burns your ass that the owner of your precious Miami Dolphins has so many ties to Michigan, huh?

Take a deep breath, scrubbies. That smell you're inhaling is karma, coming back to kick your ass. :D

Once again, a contest is an exercise in comparison with other stories in the contest (a story just submitted to the general list doesn't need to be considered in competition; it can be scored entirely on its own standalone merits).

So, the purpose of scoring is different for the two and there's every reason to approach your scoring of a contest story differently than one not submitted for competition.

A contest needs a vote spread to be legitimate/fair. To reach this the best way, each voter reading several stories in a contest should participate in giving that wider vote spread--it's a competitive contest, not a standalone determination.

So, if you are taking a contest seriously, you should be using a wide range of voting, not just a 4 (which is also a "bomb" vote if you think a 3 is) and a 5.

First off I’d just like to congratulate ace on joining the scourian revolution. Although he was slow to come to the above opinion the fact that he’s finally arrived here is what counts.

I’ve always felt that not only must the full range of scores be used (see scouries scoring the NUDE DAY contest 4 years ago) but that it would be even more beneficial if the contest used a completely separate scoring system from that used for regular stories (perhaps 1-10 with a special large typeface invitation to the reader to vote for this SPECIAL contest at the start and end of the story).

against all odds!!!

All of us at ScouriesWorld would like to thank all of the LITEROTICANS who have made the ‘SCOUIES reader’ thread the #1 thread in forum land.

300,000 views! Imagine.

Here are the October 2011 figures for 30 day “recent activity” for [SIZE=+2]ScouriesWorld.

During the month of October three hundred and forty (340) “recent activities” (favoriting the author, favoriting one of his stories, or commenting on one of his stories) were reported to mr scouries.

One hundred and three (103) named him their “favorite” author during the month while eleven (11) “unfavorited” him for a net gain of ninety-two (92).

Amra-Silajdzic-015-august.jpg

jim is my "favorite"...

Over the last seven months (April-October 2011) 651 LITEROTICANS have named him their “favorite” author while 66 have “unfavorited” him for a net gain of 585 for the period.

mr scouries hopes that he’ll have at least two new stories ready in November – he’s working like mad! And it’s this kind of response from the LITEROTICA readers that is his true inspiration.

He, and all of us at ScouriesWorld, would like to thank all of you who took the time to favorite or comment on one of his stories and/or to favorite him. You’re good people!

Be well!

I did a little bit of research on those commenting favorably on a certain Lit. author's Halloween contest entry this year and it was interesting how many of them had no other activity than favoriting just that Lit. author. No stories of their own, of course … No, one doesn't have to have stories listed to be a legitimate voter. But creation and running of an alt is soooo much easier if you don't bother to put any stories in that account's name. When added up to other things it takes on the strong characteristics of an alt.

Jacqui just pointed to above post out to me – I’d missed it earlier.

It gave me a smile to think of ace checking out everyone who’d “favorited” me. As you can see from the monthly “recent activity” figures shown above (post#10471) it’s a pretty big job!

And while AHland may have a few members who believe that the top “favorited” authors have created 2000 or 2300 or 2600 ALTS, ace, who though not as smart as he believes he is, isn’t that dumb.

Most people who “favorite” me are non-authors? Does that really surprise our ex-spy? The reality is that if 50,000 or 75,000 people open your stories 99% of them are not contributing authors. ace knows this. So does loverboy and db.

I’m sorry ace that you haven’t been “favorited” more. But you’re going about it the wrong way my good man. Instead of sending jealous barbs at those who’ve been successful you’d be much better served by trying to learn from them. By reading and studying their stories. By trying to understand what the reader is looking for.

Jacqui can't read. I posted that I checked out those who commented on (not favorited--the thread was about being able to do it about favorites too) stories--and I didn't say it was you. You probably jumped to that obvious conclusion because you are such an obvious cheat that you knew it was you. Of course my cursory check did bear out that your world is supported by alts of yourself. But then we all knew that already, so I just shrugged and moved on to something else.

You seem a little worried there, chum. :D

A typical master dissemblers reply. Your spy training is showing ace. Start by denying the obvious. Then make unsupported allegations.

So how many of the 2650 readers who’ve “favorited” me do you believe are my ALTS? The problem for shit disturbers and mud slingers like you in answering questions like this directly is that you know you’re going to look bad no matter how you answer it.

Which is why you always try to change the subject or throw more mud.

The truth is that some 750 readers have “favorited” me this year alone versus your 600+ in all your years here and given your 600 some stories submitted.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!
