The "We Love the Lit Ladies" Lounge

Age certainly CAN be irrelevant, but it can also be correctly reflected in stereotypes. :p Stereotypes for males my age are typically reasonably accurate. But there's stereotypes for a reason, and not everyone gets pidgeon-holed into that stereotype.

One of my writing professors summed it up quite well, "To say that drivers in Lake Charles (the town I lived in at the time) are bad is a true statement, but to say that a person from Lake Charles is a bad driver because he is from there is a stereotype that is not necessarily true. You can make broad statements, but you must always allow for an individual to break the mold." He was a very wise man.

Age is irrelevant to maturity anyway. As evidenced by the fact that you told use we sounded like middle aged men :D

Well, to be technical, I merely said you guys made me think of that image. =P

If you'll pardon me, I would like to speak from the stomach for a moment.

Girl Scout cookies are freaking delicious.

Carry on.

I would say that simply by the possibility of it being irrelevant, it necessarily IS irrelevant. But I was never one for rules and exceptions and all that swill. And when it really comes down to it, the fact that you resist the notion of being nothing more than a dick with legs negates many of the male of 21 stereotypes and therefore, within this thread I maintain age is irrelevant.

Besides, had you not divulged your age, I would have not guessed it to be 21.

And as a final note, this is making me sleepy. Glad to have met you all, I hope this thread remains. Goodnight.

That they are; however, I would rather have some fresh pineapple, or a home baked cookie. :)

I'm actually not much of a fan of them.

Sleep well and sweet dreams <3

All good points. I'm not sure my mind is sharp enough to argue logic at this moment. XD Goodnight, my newfound friend. Sleep well!

Night QSco. I should be going to bed myself, but I am riveted to this conversation.

Indeed!!!! And I was going to sleep.....

But that's my point: Without knowing our ages to begin with, you imagined middle-aged men. Now, you may have thought, or otherwise assumed, we were not middle aged (but still men), yet the mental image was still there. Hence, the age isn't important. It's the presentation, the perception, the intellect. It's what makes the internet a great place. We can put down all the preconceived notions of what is and isn't a form and figure and just enjoy the personality and intellect that comes through!

... I'll read that post tomorrow and edit as necessary. Really is time to sleep.:D

^this

I'm in college, I don't have money to afford fresh pineapple. :( *sniffle*

I spend far too much time watching the Food Network wishing that I was eating that food, lol. That, and trying to learn anything and everything I can. I love cooking. :)

I enjoy cooking, and I really shouldn't buy fresh pineapple, so I usually have to do with canned. It is very sad when you get used to a lifestyle and then you lose it, but that is another can of pineapple, and a far less entertaining one.

'Tis not. I simply find them too sugary sweet =P

On the other hand, I love soft sugar cookies with vanilla frosting on them. Mmm...

Goodness, now I am feeling even more hungry than I had previously. Of course, I am not hungry for food when earlier I was hungry for.....well, you! ;)

Those less entertaining cans of pineapple have their place in life, though. *nods* I opened several of those in a row in the past few months, and it's been one hell of a task, eating all that bad-tasting pineapple. Can, after can, after can, after can.

However, a few weeks ago I happened upon a nice, fresh peach to brighten up my demeanor.

Wow, that's one hell of a metaphor.

Though I commend you on not mixing it. You did quite a good job.

Why thank you! I find myself wishing I had said "pantry" instead of "life." Alas, we all make mistakes. :p

Actually, I would argue that using pantry would separate your metaphor too far from its actual subject thus rendering it less effective to the casual reader. Your initial instincts, at least in my opinion, were the superior.

There's a bit too much intellectuality for my liking.. I feel like I need to ruin it?

Score one for the good guys! *pretends to mark a tally mark on the scoreboard*

@Rawr: What's your favorite food?
