Thread and writer appreciation thread

This is my girlfriend...the hooker with the Gladiator and Orithyia. Its about a man that hires an escort to play as his girlfriend for the upcoming wedding of his brother to get his family off his back to find a girlfriend. This is a brilliant idea and I wish I had thought of it. It has pretty much just started and I can't wait to find out how it works out.

Thank you Veroe. Its really just gotten started but I too love the idea and hope it will keep living up to our vision. With how its turning out it will probably surpass any expectation we could have had for it.

I feel honored that as tallented a writer as yourself enjoys our story.

as someone who wrote with you once upon a time, stop being so modest Glad. you are a very good writer. Now If I could just get you to go write the Seelie Sidhe. hehe. :p

*nods to Veroe* Am glad someone thought of a thread like this. I hope one of mine shows up somewhere on here someday. I am already subscribed. :D

Now to add my own appreciated thread.

Opposites Attract by Annisthyrienne and RPerMan. I am not really big into elves and most of the time don't read the stories of them, but these two brought this thread to life in a way that made me forget my indifference to the characters and get lost in the story they told. I definitely recommend giving it a read.

Thank you for your kind words Illiana.

The Lounge With Dark Empress and Marauder13. About online friends deciding to take their relationship into reality at a BDSM lounge. Now I fully realize that I've gushed over other threads Dee and M13 have done before, but really can you blame me for giving props to them again. These two writers are awesome-don't even try to dispute it. It will only make you look petty in your jealous rantings.
Anyhow this thread just started and I can't wait to see how these two excellent RPers progress this story.

Just to clear up a little something, Veroe. The characters aren't taking something online offline. They are 'real world' friends who share complimentary interests, and decided to see if they would enjoy it together. Plus, it's going to be fun looking at the thinking and reactions of the character as things progress.

And Veroe, thank you.

Taken as tribute By Wideeyedone and the Anti-rebel and then the Grind. Its about a princess that's captured by marauding barbarians and given to their prince as tribute. A tale done well with deft skill. I liked the transition from the Anti-rebel to the Grind taking up the part of Barton smooth with little in the way of bumps in characterization.

I agree. The transition was very skilled on the Grind's part. :)

ooops  seems I need to read it more closely one more time.
An arduous task but I think I can suffer through it :D
but seriously, M, thanks for the clarification.

Anytime, Veroe. I was also serious about the thanks for the mention of the thread. There is a little experimentation going on with it too, but both DarkEmpress and I are looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Exodus 21: 24 by Sallythescorpion and the PG. About a bad boy and the preacher's daughter he seduces and debauches. I've known PG as a good RPer in some of the other threads of his I've read, but his role as Tommy in this was a real eye-opener for me. He's great in this, Coudos PG, and Sally what can be said about her here that I haven't said before in some of the other threads of hers I've put here. Well, find out for yourselves folks. Click on the link and see how good these two are in this right now.

Ohhh! Just saw this now!! Thanks for the compliment, veroe! I'm really enjoying writing with the PG! He's an awesome writer, and I'm glad you're enjoying the story!

Some love and appreciation for some of the people and cowriters I've befriended and adore here. Since its not my policy to put threads I'm participant in, I've decided to put appreciation posts like this one here to give cowriters and friends the props they dearly deserve.

Asa-she loves nothing more to plot and scheme on our threads. She really exudes a passion and enthusiasm for it, and I love that about her.

Dark Empress-Thoughtful, dilligent, and so very courageous. She took a big chance with me on our thread, and I'm really grateful to her for it. That thread with her I think is one of my favorites.

Alana-Withdrawn from Lit for the most part and sorely missed. She really delved deep into the character she was playing in our thread and came up with a complex and compelling characterization for her to write.

Sweetp4u-One of the mods so she's really busy most of the time, but she's an incredible RPer and radioactively hot with every sentence she types.

Yeishia-I call her the grand champion and high priestess of sensual dominance. She really helped me see that I wasn't alone in having an interest in the whole BDSM scene without liking hurting people. There is a place for me and its thanks to her I know I'm not alone. Also she's very thoughtful and kind. I probably wouldn't have stayed here on Lit if I hadn't met her.

Wolf-Vixen-Alot like Yeishia in that she's awesome in the sensual dominance dept. A kind and Caring and brave friend too. The group thread she started and invited me on has been one of the best, most rewarding, and most enjoyable RPing experiences I've had here.

Last-Rider-We joke that we could be long-lost brothers because our interests are so similar. He's been a good and trustworthy friend here.

Dragonrazor-a fellow geek, maybe even a bigger one than me :DI try Dammit:D

Much love to all of you guys
More props to come...

I've been here for years and never posted in appreciation of my fellow writers. It's about damn time I do.

First up is Lily, of course. She's the only reason I'm still around these parts. Hell she's the only one I have private threads with. We've been writing together for years and yet she always manages to bring something new and exciting to the table. I love the way she writes out thoughts and feelings. They come off as real, sporadic, as they should be. She doesn't force long wordy posts. She knows when to write a novel and when to write a quick retort. There's something deeper in every word she puts down, something few have. It's hard to describe, but she has feeling... heart in her writing. She puts her soul into it. She's grown so much and her craft as evolved by leaps and bounds, that when I first started writing with her I was teaching her how to role play, and now she's leagues better than me. I'm so proud of her. I can't imagine having a better partner. Love ya, tiger.

The next couple of folks are in no particular order, just who I think of at the time...

Reiha has been a favorite writing partner in many of the group threads I've done in the past. She's always very energetic in her writing. Everything really pops. She describes a scene, an action, and you can see it vividly in your mind, like bright colors, there is no mistaking it. She's my sister here, fun loving and crazily spontaneous. She keeps me on my toes. I never know what's coming next and I love that about her.

Eazy. Man, I remember the first time I started reading his stuff was when he had a thread with Lily waaaaay back. Wooo, I got jealous quick. He's so damned descriptive, but not in the history textbook kind of way. Every movement, touch, and emotion he puts down comes of as genuine and it thrives on the page. I was always envious of his writing, something I've never really admitted before. His posts were always so long and wordy, but not usually in a bad way. You wanted to read all of it, it kept you reading because it was enticing.

Ahren. Heh, we've been at each other's throats more than a couple times. But, despite that, when we've written together we seem to work off of each other really well. At least that's what I think. I could be totally wrong. I was never able to read him like I could most people. I enjoyed every thread that we were both in when we got to write together. He's descriptive like Eazy, but with out the wordiness. He was conservative with his words. He put down what was needed to get the message across, no fluff necessary, and it worked, really well.

Chas, I know you're out there somewhere living up life. I miss writing with you and finding Dr. Who pictures just to get a smile out of ya. You were fun to chat with and even more fun to write beside. Hope you come back soon.

Light Ice is another great author around these parts. I'm having a great time reading and participating in the Game of Thrones thread he started. His characters are always unique in the setting and they feel alive and not forced like some I've seen in the past. I always like writers who can make their characters real, and he does a great job of it.

Vail is just sexy and it comes through even more in her writing, no way around it. I know she's on the other side of the fence but what can I say? I love a challenge and she gives just as good as she gets.

Luna, I love your writing, I do. Don't ever let anyone or anything stop you from doing it. You've taken the English language, put a leash on it, and made it your bitch. Keep it up and I'll keep reading.

I'm sure there's people I've missed. I kind of did this on a random whim and as I think of more I'll add them.

Thanks to all of you for all the great times and fun stories. I look forward to much more in the future.

Well whatever do you mean? *innocent whistle*

No, I didn't edit it. It was always like that. Shush.

OK then. Let us not ever speak of this unfortunate incident ever again.

Vail and Lilly-Both of them put a lot of personality into their voices in whatever they write. Either one of those two I think can write an Algebra textbook and make it sound enthralling, entertaining, and sexy as hell in print.

The only downer is that Vail is on that other side of the fence Soru mentioned :( oh well I can't write with all the phenomenal ladies at Lit I gues.

Ahren and LightIce- both of these guys can come off as abrasive, but there something appealing about guys that tell you how they see it with sometimes brutal honesty. But then sometimes this lounge needs some brutally honest guys every now and then to balance some of the bullshit that goes on.

LI is another phenomenally talented writer too that has a unique and compelling voice to his roleplaying.

Zydrate-what can I say? She's a tease, a flirt, a vixen, a friend. Opposite to Ahren and LI the lounge sorely needs her presence. I love her wacky sense of humor. It compliments mine. (Yes I do have a sometimes unleashed wacky silly sense of humor) So don't get around either of us when we're sleepy, caffeneited, or drunk unless you want to piss in your pants from laughing so hard at the silly antics either of us can come up with :D

ShyMystica and VampiricTouch and LucianDevine-All of these are awesome writers that really are clueless as to just how fantastic they are, but the SRP forum better look out if they ever do though. They're shy and really humble and always seeking to be better. I like that about them. They're not lazy and content with their talents like me. They strive to the point of agonizing over every word they write to make each post the best it could be. Opposite in alot of ways to my approach, but I really admire the dedication and the drive they show with each response.

More to come as the cross my mind

Royal Blood with Poohlive and MaskofSand. About a princess who is bitten and becomes a vampire and the knight that serves and protects her. A compelling premise and start of a story from two fantastic writers.

I took a look at Damaged Goods, and after reading the post by MaskofSand, I thought 'Ahhh, there is where they got the title from.' Then I read Poohlive's post that followed, and I then thought 'OK, which one of them is the damaged goods?'

Those two posts hooked me hard, and I am now reading through it with a high degree of interest. The... interesting outlooks of both characters have depth and a great deal of appeal to me. This is one thread that I am going to enjoy reading, enjoying the portrayal of the characters involved.

Congrats to both of these writers for what is going to be a different look at traumatized characters that have been drawn together by the cruel hands of fate.

While I was posting my Vassal news I just read this Veroe. I am speechless that you should think this I had no idea. All I can say is a heartfelt thank you. As you can imagine I am smiling, blushing and ...I simply cannot put my true feelings into words, I am blessed to have friends like you who understand, so many have made fun of me because I personally shy away from violence during my play, having been the unwilling victim of it in the real world. I am so happy I was able to reassure you in some small way :rose:

I feel the need to second the praise for the VA crew here. A gifted bunch of writers, and a truly wonderful story.

Right now, I am reading Light Ice's Across the Sands. I love the way this man writes and his co author has a very nice turn of phrase, herself.

The thread has just gotten started and so far it has caused me to think, caused my heart to palpitate oddly and left me with cotton mouth. I can not wait for the story to continue.
:rose:

Thank you, Milady Wolf. I do have to say that LI inspires me. It's nice to know that there are readers enjoying the story as it unravels as much as (and if I may speak for LI for a moment)he and I take pleasure in spinning it.
