coughing too much to sleep..
Annie, congrats again on your green E. I think my editor voice is especially loud when I am sick, but I did enjoy the content of your poem despite the 7 missing commas over which my inner editor is throwing a hissy fit. LOL I think it must be creative frustration. I haven't had a chance to paint due to working and schoolwork. If I don't paint, I don't function very well. It is my main coping skill. I think I need to make that a priority today.

Congrats! Let me know what it feels like..
:rose:

thanks so much guys I don't really know how u get 'E's and 'H's not something I have ever aimed at so I never bothered to read up on them ........ is there a faq about whats what?

E's - editor's choice

H's - score of 4.5 or more with at least 25 votes

I'm off to try to go to sleep one more time. PTSD, depression, & cough make horrible bed companions.

aw, ty, I feel sick as a dog right now, and probably look like one! LOL

I'm just gonna hurry finish my schoolwork and go back to bed.
take care, ya'll.

I've just had to go to physiotherapy cough and all mind you the receptionist sounded worse than me ........ very hygienic!

Yeah me too I was wondering can you buy all your medicines over the counter?

I do not go to the dr. for coughs because I cannot take the stronger, prescription cough medicine due to my other medications. So, I am stuck with over-the-counter cough medicine. One of my extended stays at the local psych hospital was blamed on the alcohol content of prescription cough medicine reacting with my meds. I'm not sure if that was just a convenient scapegoat for my pdoc at that time or if it's true.

My meds for my recurrent, severe depression (or bipolar disorder depending on which of my medical charts you look at) are prescription meds. Unfortunately, my medicine for my stomach is over-the-counter. I can't afford as much of it as I am supposed to be taking, so I typically only take it once a day instead of twice like I am supposed to.

ETA:

Oh, and my new sleeping med is prescription, but I do have to pay a couple dollars for that one. It's not bad though. I'm sure it would be much more expensive for me if it was over-the-counter.

Well, as you can see from my post, most of my prescriptions are free, so it sucks when I have to buy over-the-counter meds. I have prescription coverage and insurance due to my disability. Otherwise, I would be totally screwed since I can't work outside my house.

I had to pay $15 copay for the pain medicine for my Segway accident headaches.
Fortunately, been several years since I've had another prescription, although do buy and use OTC aspirin and equivalent. I completely stay away from the alcohol since I'm a recovering alcoholic and also, with the prescriptions fortunate that not an addict as well. Or at least not to those types of drugs - nicotine and most likely caffeine for sure. May quit smoking one of these years, but ... So far I seem to be able to get thru colds OK. Will pay $10 for a flu shot next month, not sure if H1N1 as well or just regular.

Ah, so we are all smokers.

I was just going to say that. I feel so very cliche now.

LMAO I would suggest a quit smoking thread, but what are the chances we'd all be ready to quit at the same time. I'd like to quit. Did I tell you about my smoking cessation method? All I need is a male participant to give me something better to suck on...

I dare say that as badly as smokers are treated these days, I would hope you would come up with something grand for smokers...

While I was on my vacation, I wasn't even allowed to smoke on the balcony. There was a small smoking area on the ground floor outside near the parking lot. My daughter or youngest son would go all the way there several times a day with me. (Remember, we were up in the penthouse! We had to go on a 17-floor journey every time I wanted to smoke!)
