i can't seem to recall if it was jim or neo who made mention of one of my poems..i've been here at literotica for over a year..i left for a long time..found my way back a couple months ago.
i never checked out the forums..til i had that link in my email..
i just wanted to thank whichever of you got me to come take a peek..all i know is it's been fun and it's made it soooooo much easier to sift through poetry..there's so much..and before i came to see who said what and why..lol..it was quite time consuming.
well, i've enjoyed getting familar with some of you as well as your poetry.
i'm leaving shortly for a 2 month visit up north and i'm gonna miss this little forum..
jim..neo..whichever of you 1st lead me this direction..ty..muahh
its been a world of laughs and a great learning tool for sharpening my words.
and i'll be back when i'm all settled into the sandy beaches of florida. take care everyone, my regards,  fawnie

new one here

After some time lurking as unregistered guest i was so brave to take my ID.
I just wanted to say that, in spite of the name that could not be the perfect one as a poetry place, i found here many many gifted ones that really are doing wonderful things.
I am sure i will keep enjoying this place :p

baez and dylan

on one of her albums she has a line:

where are you calling from

and dylan ansers:

from a booth in the midwest

nd that remains the mateaphor for me

the metaphor for all the lost loves over the years--the endless road that has taken me down to my final old being wirhout any woman in my lifed

and yet

constant possibiltiy becuse they flock at times

I know lauren hynde is gonna get on my ass for posting this here--and I know what i would like to do with her

Poets don't sleep
they do research, with eyes closed
minds open wide, they tiptoe
through synaptic creaks and groans

sifting through impulse and why
why not?
electricity, simplicity
alive, are we? asleep,
let them sleeping poets lie
snooze, and blink and sort
through those millions of blasts
of memories past
for something worth writing about
no doubt, it will be deep

sleep, poet sleep
post poem in the morning

mentioning Lauren--or she'll think I have attitude toward her which I don't in the slightest

the Doc outfit is good huh - be surprised how effective it is - much more so than the callow naval rating in the current AV--in white gunshirt as though he's takin'a break from runnin' out cannon

(summer 1962)

glad this thread is picking up again

normal jean has kinda

burst on the scene like a supernova--she's a serious talent

they tiptoe
through synaptic creaks and groans

I often prefer other peoples' poetry to my own

generally speaking we can't emulate other peoples' styles so they seem somehow unobtainable--just better in a sense

some of its the different experiences we all have--but some of it is different wiring

gotta love the invocation of the synaptic cleft and that little acetylcholine boat that the words travel across on to the next axon

or is it dendrite

no it's not
